Another gem Scott!
loved the vid! I always love learning a funk lick, especially with overtones!
Thanks - This is a fun one to throw into your improv.
taking it to the next level!!! awesome man
Thanks Nathan! Yeah, getting those overtones functional are a big part of next level playing. 👍👍
Very nice, Scott!
Scott. As always, great lick. I have a question. Do you release the octave key to play the overtone G? Thanks.
no, I just leave it on. Makes life way easier. I usually use my octave key for overtones in general.
Scott. Thank you very much. The octave key was making the lick very hard to play. 👍👍
Good one Scott as always ,is the alto your 1st instrument of preference.and do you have a tenor,? I always reach for my alto first ,
Hey Paul. Thanks! Yeah, alto is definitely where I find my voice, but I play and own all of them: alto, tenor, bari, soprano.
Excellent Scott.....this one's going to 'amuse' the neighbors! Thanks for producing these excellent videos and keep em coming. How much are your skype lessons?
Thanks Malcolm! I'm not going to be picking up any new Skype students until this tour ends in March 2020.
Without Overtones no funky sax sound
Yeah, the overtones definitely help
