Can you really blame lower rated players if they tend to hang mates and pieces? I'm siding with the lower rated players who just want to have fun in GTE.
You'll love the Lichess analysis by the way. They even have an alpha feature to let you run an external, non browser based, natively run (much faster) stockfish for analysing. I've tried it, and it works like a charm. The actual browser based stockfish is also much better, even the sever stockfish is better and up-to date. Lichess also has fantastic features for analysing your past games.
Lichess and CDC's rating systems have the same range, which starts at 0 and has no upper bound, what differs between them is the distribution. A a range is what values you can get, a distribution is the set of probabilities of getting any given value. Both chess server's distributions are bell curves, but Lichess peaks at 1500 by design, while CDC peaks at like 1000, I think.
You know, for some reason, I always thought it was pronounced as Lich-ess, like a female undead mage with the whole phylactery thing and all. It makes a whole lot more sense that it is pronounced as Li-Chess, but I would be lying if I were to say I wasn't somewhat disappointed about it

Have you ever played the Sandbaggie Gambit it is truly a wholesome opening. You play 1 e4 then Qh5 no matter what black's first move is, even to nf6...and then you sac on f7 with the queen and then beat the player up for fun...and then resign a won position. Its great. Then you play in tournaments online for money without the gambit...it is truly a gambit of grade.
Btw, the reason Lichess ratings differ is becaue they start at 1500 (the recommended point) and it uses the Glicko 2 system, which is a much more advanced system.

I'm 1370 now First you need 1 opening with white and 2 openings with black (1 against e4 and 1 against d4) Second you need to play consistently and analyze your games to pinpoint exactly where things went wrong or if you missed something and since you are playing the same openings it'll be much easier to avoid the mistakes you made in Previous games. Thirdly solve at least 3-8 puzzles a day and only play rapid formats (10-20 minutes) so you take your time to understand the position before deciding on a move. This is enough to get you to 1500 rating. Good luck in your journey.

Gotham, it’s hard to quit nic when you’ve been heavily addicted for years. Telling people like that to not smoke because it’s bad for them is like telling a 600 elo player not to hang mate in 1
not for everyone, I quit after smoking 20+ for almost 10 years. I just dumped everything and suffered for a week then it slowly got better. You need a really good motivation to do it though and people around you that can help you ease up the process. In the end, it's worth it.

For some reason people are out here at 600 making 85% best/excellent moves, 5% mistakes or inaccuracies, and 5% book/good. Shit is insane.
People only submit their best games or spectacularly catastrophic ones. The average 600 should at least have ONE 85% game lol
