      Prior to the shootings, Woodham had met Grant Boyette, another of the six charged with conspiracy to murder, and supposedly accepted an invitation to join a group Boyette had formed and called "the Kroth".[8] During the summer of 1997, the supposed members of the Kroth allegedly made plans to terrorize Pearl High School. The plans ultimately involved Woodham entering the school and opening fire. The indictments claimed that Boyette and Sledge met several times with Woodham to convince him ``that murder was a viable means of accomplishing the purposes and goals of the shared belief system.'

    On the water into wine thing. There was a Dionysian temple in Elis that would put out three jars of water on the eve of the Dionysian feast and the next day would be found miraculously full of wine. Jesus did SIX jars, so he's twice as great as Dionysus. This is in addition to the temples at Andros and Teos having fountains that ran with wine on the day of the feast. Another little tidbit is that the early church dated the Wedding on Jan 6, which is exactly the same day as the Feast of Dionysus. (Bultmann *Commentary of John* pg, 118).
    All just a coincidence, I'm sure.

      Yeah, there are no miracles that Christians claim where you can't find examples in surrounding religions of the time. I know I pissed them off as well when I said 'at least make something original...' Then again, they had to steal the Old Testament as well. Heh, and I guess this makes Muslims even worse since they stole from Christians...nothing exists in a vaccuum.

      @@bria243 Islam began as a Christian sect. It didn't steal from Christianity, it WAS Christianity as it survived in Arabia. There were sects like the Nestorians who thought that Jesus wasn't really crucified and that someone else was crucified in his place. The Qu'ran says Jesus the Jewish Messiah and born of a virgin. This was not a sect that borrowed from Christianity, they were deviant Christians. Something like Mormons. Not all early Christians thought Jesus was God, especially in the East. Deification was a Hellenistic development.

    In response to the narrow defining situations of what one can do distinctly and not do according to the Torah here is my response to those who follow the Holy Bible: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Also, I'm not sure of the complete context but I found this verse regarding stargazers: You are wearied with your many counsels; let them stand forth and save you, those who divide the heavens, who gaze at the stars, who at the new moons make known what shall come upon you. Behold, they are like stubble; the fire consumes them; they cannot deliver themselves from the power of the flame. No coal for warming oneself is this, no fire to sit before! The bible gives many examples of magic that God is against. The anointing is seen as approved Magic by God for individuals who are not religious/spiritual but the anointing is not magic. When God approves of supernatural gifts, it doesn't come with hidden traps . It's the source of where the authentic power comes from and the intention behind it and if it can be reversed or overpowered that determines if it's Magic or the Anointing/miracle.

    Derek Dr Ammon Hillman recently said that while he was helping to do the archeological dig at one of the temples in Jerusalem, that they were in a known witches property. And that ammons first roommate started to speak in strange sounding animalistic voice that told Dr Hillman his entire earthly future. Then the roommate was soon arrested for being so wierd acting out in public. So they gave him another roommate. And that roommate did the exact same thing in the same type of voice. And told Dr Hillman the exact same future prophetic outcomes for his life. Then dr Hillman said that he was actually able to contact the deceased spirits whenever he wants to by using the same types of witchcraft that the witches, warlocks, and the satanic churches use to gain knowledge from the deceased, and the different types of demons that occupy the different levels of hell. Ask him to tell you some of the other stories that he is aware of. Please Don't just dismiss this out of sheer disbelief. It's well worth looking into if you're going to be able to understand the importance of such accepted cultural practices back then.

      Eloheim means family of God, in greek it's like all the god's gathered on mount olympys.

    • @js1423
      @js1423 2 роки тому

      @@Flum666 Heiser thinks YHWH is the same El-Elyon, who takes Israel for himself, so he can undermine and eventually replace the 70 other gods (who are supposed to be rebellious angels/sons of God/powers and principalities), regaining the nations back under his rule. As a Christian, Heiser views that Jesus' death cancelled the authority of the other gods.
      Another way to read Elyon and YHWH from a Christian apologetics viewpoint, is to say that Elyon is God the Father and YHWH is God the Son aka Jesus (apparently there was Old Testament binitarianism which paralleled the role of El and Baal in Canaanite religion).

    LDS church merely removed the throat slitting motion / hand symbols and the oath about not sharing the secrets of the temple rituals. The rest of the words, hand gestures and the symbols stitched on their Garments (underwear to be worn at all times other than bathing, sex or swimming) still remain.

    • @hardwork8395
      @hardwork8395 Рік тому

      The penalties you refer to correctly, were removed, and this was done in 1990; but, they still have an oath you promise to not reveal the temple rituals ( specifically, in this context, the washing and anointing, your new name [except the woman sharing her with her husband], the endowment ceremony with the attendant veil instruction with the signs and handshakes, etc. The sealing ceremony (marriage) is also similarly protected in many ways as you are wearing the clothing from the endowment (sash, cap, apron, etc) and use the Patriarchal grip (one of their sacred handshakes) taught to you in the endowment. In regards to garment wearing however, this was a point of doctrinal contention and perceived religious commitment within the pews, and wasn’t viewed exclusively by all as church policy, per se. Current policy of garment wearing has been amended within the Mormon church, to be more precise about wearing standards, and they are looser than the past: see the “Mormon Discussion “ and “Radio Free Mormon” channels on UA-cam
