It would be nice if Adobe sent these out to very long term users of their applications as a thank you for being so loyal and honest. I've used Adobe stuff since 1995 and never had anything from them. Anyway I'm sure a long term user would struggle with a major change to their already very fast workflow.
Thank you! Just unboxing. Will the unit bind to desktops differently? (I'll find out soon!) I've never used different desktops. I have a range of use cases built around interests. If I have a desktop set up more for the business part of life, another for fun & family, another for creativity. I also want one for research. Given that, will the console bind to each desktop individually offering unique defaults?
@FailN2Success I see you been waiting for days😂.Just went ahead and made my own. Still kinda experimental but aye man its worth a try lmk. Send me ya email, or ig and ill send it over.
Not convinced by the disposable battery in the jog wheel. Seems like a step back. If they have issues with a rechargable battery, why not a USB-C cable that plugs inot the computer of the keypad?
Recycling electronics with built-in lithium/rechargeable batteries is much harder to do, and worse for the environment. There are scenarios where I'd agree with you. but I think if it lasts the 1+ year they claim, it shouldn't be hassle to swap rechargeable AAA batteries annually. I personally would prefer to limit the number of cables running across my desk, and I'm guessing their assumed (or discovered via testing group) use case for the dial involves people moving it around their desk, keeping it very close to where they're hand is for different tasks.
2nd......What great Logitech devices. Your setup looks amazing. I love the dark charcoal/gray/black theme that blends in perfectly with your Logitech gear. Even your Aeron chair in graphite seemlessly fits into your studio setup. Your desk looks impeccable. Nicely done !
Those actually look good and productive. Dial could use a touch sensor. Button feel as good as the mouse would make it really great. I don't like the mx chiclet keyboard much. Hopefully the mechanical version doesn't have the heavy keys. Logitech may have hit a home run with this .... or they might have missed
hows the quality of the dial and buttons? High quality? I tried a loupe deck and it felt so cheap. Was a huge turn off lol. I guess im expecting aircraft control knob quality/ friction. lolol
I have the Loupedeck Live and just got the MX Creative Console. The MX display keys are far better because they're brighter, higher resolution and physical vs. Loupedeck's touch screen. But because the MX button displays are more recessed, viewing angle is limited. The aluminum MX dial feels solid, but I wish it was stepped like Loupedeck's dials. Non-screen buttons on the MX are satisfying to press. None of the controls are aircraft quality though... 😅
Yes/No. technically yes but really it’s just utilizing the shortcuts of right and left arrow. This means as you turn the dial the play head will move 1 frame at a time. If you’re zoomed into the timeline then this can be be nice. Zoomed out and it goes very slow. Currently only Blackmagics own speed editor and keyboard offer the best jog/shuttle wheel experience.
It sounds like to me if you do NOT do HOURS of editing every day you will not remember what all that does. I spend at least five to eight hours every day behind my three monitor setup. I do editing, UA-cam, web development, movies and some other programing. For me and I think for MOST people this would be a waste of money.
Nice gadget. But whos idea was "Type C" to "Type A" cable in 2024... heavy use editors use newer computers. I dont have any Type A ports in my Macbook at least 3-4 years and Type A is definitely dying out fast. Strange, strange decicions.
it's a scam because I ordered it before the premiere and it hasn't been delivered to me yet and the consultants say that the package will arrive only in two or three weeks, that's a preorder
They bought Loupedeck over a year ago and this is the first product based on that acquisition. A lot of the backend seems to be based on what Loupedeck has built.
@@petrituohimaa Whoa, didn’t know that… thx for the info. 👌 It also kind of explains why my Loupedeck is super buggy software wise now though. The latest software update removes photoshop lol until Adobe fixes something (that never needed fixing before).
@@mygeartv You're welcome - and oh yeah my Loupedeck Live was a mess after the update also because the new UI / button design is optimized for the MX Creative Console and some texts are nearly impossible to read on Loupedeck's lower resolution buttons. But I was able to make Photoshop 2025 work with Loupedeck. Looks like it now uses the Logi Plugin for Adobe Photoshop, but I don't remember anymore what exact steps I took to make it work. It's confusing when Loupedeck software refers to Logitech, and also there are references to Loupedeck when configuring the MX in Logi Options+ (like with icons). Got to say the buttons are much better on the MX, but I wish it had more dials. I'll probably continue using both the Live and the MX together for now. Which Loupedeck model do you have?
@@initialfocus Yeah, I just haven't found a video yet that shows how well it works or what its limitations are. I understand it doesn't work the same as it does in Premiere.
I used to think that too but… buy 4 rechargeable AA batteries. Now you can have a set already charged and ready to go, hot swap as needed, recharge the dead ones, and don’t have to worry about a device becoming e-waste as result of a dead sealed internal battery
@@James.Buchanan true, but I do hate having batteries; I do never know what to do with them. And then the question of how often you will need to buy new ones. I prefer devices with rechargeable batteries, and ideally, it should be easy to get a replacement once they degrade. 😬
Bro, nice video but i want to know how perform it is in davinci resolve :) are you planning to make another video for it?
How does it work with Davinci?
I wonder why they chose not to make the dial pad press-able. Would be even faster to scroll timeline, then press down to cut.
Fair feedback that a number of us gave them at the presentation 👍🏼

Yes, could you please give us a link to your Davinci profile setup? Would be very much appreciated!
@LanaOkeaness his ass probably not going to do it lol, but i went ahead and made one if your interested sehd ya email, or ig and i got you.
Love this and will buy it when its deep integration works with Lightroom CC and not just Classic. Great review as always thanks !
LP5 file is a Loupedeck one (same file suffix). Thank you Michael for this video.
I bought it because of your video. Can you share the DVR profile plugin?

I’m curious, what’s that stand you got for the micro color panel ? Thanks !
Im curious to 🎉??
how does it work in DaVinci colour page

Let us know how it fanctions with davinci and also if you could provide us with the davinci preset that would be great!

Can you try this with the iPad? Without native intigration do things like the wheel work while editing photo/videos?
What stand do you use to rise up your micro color panel?
Is the logi marketplace accessible without this product? I want to see if there is figma support before buying
I do believe if you just download Logi+ options software you should be able to check out the marketplace!
is it good for music production? (and is it will this work with cubase 13?)
PEASE put the Davinci Resolove Export for MX into chat!!

Don’t know if they have this in their downloads area but I want this for LogicProX work
Can someone tell me how to map the "Zoom" and "Jog" options for Davinci Resolve? [EDIT] ok - I configured it all via keyboard shortcuts :)
Yes, I like them, yet I don't see this replace my Loupedeck CT, as that has so much more functionality.
Can the dial pad act as a jog wheel in Davinci Resolve?

Try out a Davinci Editors Keys!

My retail unit came with USB-C to USB-C cable. Perhaps the review units shipped with Type A cable?

Wait they’re wireless? If they are im sold
The dial pad is yes, the keypad is not since that’s 9 full color little displays. Batteries wouldn’t last long
Do they work with iPad Pro?
how does logitech get away with basically taking elgato’s streamfeck design that has existed for years?

Absolutely that’s what I was saying. I use it in resolve you just make your own custom profile
