Love the idea of the false floor and bed area, I am doing a similar thing to my 120 but retaining the middle row seats, the idea is they will fold down parallel with the floor, on the larger seat side in the boot area there will be a drawer system on the same side and height at the folded seat, with a timber panel to rest on top of the middle row seat, leaving a full height boot space on the opposing side for a fridge. I intend of camping solo, and so a single space for sleeping will suffice. I hate setting up tents and having tent material flapping around in the wind at night and really not interested in caravans or camper trailers for the most part.

@@SarahandKeelanTravels, i’ve taken the back seat out of my Colorado dual cab and put in a platform when i bought it 10 yrs ago. Never heard of a re engineer ….. I won’t be losing any sleep over it, 😀😀
@@merv190 Until you get pulled over or have an accident, then you'll be losing a few zzz's...back to Autosteer for you, lol.... Remove the rear seat requires an L1 Seat Reduction Permit...easy to get done, minimal cost and you legally gain the weight that would be Passenger attributable. In other words about 240 kgs. I did it with my Hilux back in 2017. You need to get it inspected and re-registered as a 2 seater (front seats only). Overall it is an easy exercise and then legal for W.A. and probably rest of Oz.
@@bush2coast801 … we’ll that’s interesting I’ve never heard of that, might be worth looking into, the weight gain could be handy. Thanks for the info.
Yep can't just take seats out and not have someone re inspect it. Am from Perth and had a 150 prado. Took half the rear seat out and built a battery box bolted down and fridge on top of it accessed from the rear passenger door. Got pulled over and bam yellow sticker for it. Had to take it all out and put the seat back to get it over the pits
