    Love the idea of the false floor and bed area, I am doing a similar thing to my 120 but retaining the middle row seats, the idea is they will fold down parallel with the floor, on the larger seat side in the boot area there will be a drawer system on the same side and height at the folded seat, with a timber panel to rest on top of the middle row seat, leaving a full height boot space on the opposing side for a fridge. I intend of camping solo, and so a single space for sleeping will suffice. I hate setting up tents and having tent material flapping around in the wind at night and really not interested in caravans or camper trailers for the most part.

    I must compliment you both for not having a lunar orbit command module and a 2 person deep sea diving bell.
    It's refreshing to see how simple life can be without a ceramic induction cook top nor 30k dollars worth of industrial main-frame wiring.
    To see that you're both not afflicted with keeping up with the Jones' and maxxing out your credit card to have all the same toys that "you must have" is delightful.
    Do you meet people at camp grounds who tell you that you need more stuff ?? Tell them to go and watch George Carlin talk about "Stuff".

    I knew my 1KD 120 series' injectors were on their way out when:
    1. Cold mornings I got a lot of injector rattle and,
    2. A bit of blue/white smoke at high RPM (especially in higher gears) and,
    3. Loss of low-mid range power and,
    4. Fuel consumption spiked from around 11L/100km to 16-16.7L/100km
    Replacing the injectors fixed all these issues

    • @SarahandKeelanTravels
      @SarahandKeelanTravels  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Bruce! That is epic information mate! I wish I had a testimonial like this to read during this video. A lot of people talk about injectors letting go but nothing leading up to that point!
      Unfortunately, Percy had some good injectors and injector seats, well decent before we took them out. Feedback values where good, I was just worried about the seats though no way to test those. I had no knocking or blue smoke or anything and my fuel economy was good! You just never know though, glad we have changed them now and hopefully gives Percy many more years to come! Thanks legend for the info!

    Hey mate just a question i noticed you have leds did you do a full upgraded led headlight from halogen or standard with led bulbs? As I have a 2010 model and want to convert to led as I can see much clearer on the road though don't wanna get stung for them

    • @SarahandKeelanTravels
      @SarahandKeelanTravels  2 роки тому +1

      So just need the LED kit for your headlight plugs they will be h4 or something (just google that) and they are plug and play! Massive difference and you would be very unlucky to get stung for them.

      @@merv190 Until you get pulled over or have an accident, then you'll be losing a few zzz's...back to Autosteer for you, lol.... Remove the rear seat requires an L1 Seat Reduction Permit...easy to get done, minimal cost and you legally gain the weight that would be Passenger attributable. In other words about 240 kgs. I did it with my Hilux back in 2017. You need to get it inspected and re-registered as a 2 seater (front seats only). Overall it is an easy exercise and then legal for W.A. and probably rest of Oz.

      Yep can't just take seats out and not have someone re inspect it. Am from Perth and had a 150 prado. Took half the rear seat out and built a battery box bolted down and fridge on top of it accessed from the rear passenger door. Got pulled over and bam yellow sticker for it. Had to take it all out and put the seat back to get it over the pits
