I just fished a small local creek Saturday and caught 39 fish! Chubs, shiners, spotted bass smallmouth bass and a drum! That’s some of my favorite fishing
I never fished with jigs at all til I started watching your videos, John! But when I did, it changed my whole way of fishing! Today I was kayak fishing a new place in the Poconos with a 1/64 ounce jig & a Bobby Garland on 4 lb. mono and got several Bluegills around 9 inches, Crappie Bass near 13 inches, several Largemouth Bass about 12 inches, and the craziest was an 18 inch Pickeral!! All thanks to you and the grace of God!
Hello 🤗 my last outing caught a blue gill, red belly and a 7 inch shiner on # 8 hook with wax worms! It was really fun 😂!! Thanks for inspiring me to get out there! God Bless!!
Just wanted to say thanks for your videos, my fellow Tennessean. Life is erratic and sometimes I go months or even a year before getting back on the water. Your videos allow me a vicarious experience and the motivation to get back outside when I can.
Very nice and very Creek Fishing Adventures today brother. Love the diversity and potluck fishing as I call it. Whatcha fishin for?? Whatever's biting. Cool trip and challenge John. Blessings
Another nice day on the water. I want to say thank you for the gift on your last drawing were my name was called. I'm asking you if you could find a member to give it to as, as much as I appreciate it I'm sure someone else could use it better as my health isn't were it needs to be.... Thanks again and I'll keep washing you fish and make top notch video.
I used to catch a alot of different species wading the creeks with my flyrod here in Kentucky. Shiners and Creek Chubs always surprised me, not to mention the Smallmouth were a blast!
Nice video mister John love your videos keep up the good work and go catch some more big ones for us and stay safe and and thank you for the great fishing tips
I love your fishing trips so much, which actually caused me to go out and fish some creeks which is amazing. The thing I love most is your bible verse at the end. A lot of people now days forget about what life truly is and I’m only 16. Thank you so much for your exciting videos and your heart for the lord.
I fish with Mule Fishing profiles and jigs 99% of the time. My confidence bait, and my go to Redeye profiles for sure. I start off with the Mule Minnow 2.2 and go up or down in size depending on what the fish are telling me. They are so diverse!
There’s a few spotted sunfish to be caught in the conasauga but green sunfish, bluegill and such are so much more populated than they are so its a lot harder to find them.
I'm pretty sure the redear at 12:40 is hybridized with a bluegill. The splotchy blue gill plate makes me lean that way. Could be wrong though. I'm no expert.
I have a pretty good hunch about which creek you're in and I've been really curious about it for a while. I work at one of the businesses nearby the creek I'm thinking of and have really debated on heading down in there. If my hunch is right, I think that may be a good idea. Great video man! Love your creek fishing videos, they got me excited about going to greenways and small creeks haha.
Great video. I got myself one of those Resolute rods recently for a bday present. Had a 6’ lite with 4lb floro on it. On maybe the 5-6 outing I got snagged on a lily pad and gave it a quick pop to try and free it and the rod just snapped. I’ve done the same thing with the same line dozens of time before and since with my Lews laser light with no issue. Have to get my act together to see if the warranty will cover it if I decide it’s worth the $30-$40 in shipping to replace a $60 rod
I love fishing creeks and streams with ultralight gear. I'm a little confused though, here in Oregon we just call all of those different species of bluegill by one name - crappie.
Went creek fishing in a small mountain stream (WV) for brown trout, and ended up seeing trout, smallmouth, spots, rock bass, and a huge Walleye miles and miles up stream from the mouth. Never know what you’re gonna see!
Get yourself a St Croix panfish ultra light. $ 125.00 ish. these things are sooooo sensitive light and built here in the USA. I put on a Shimano Nasci 1000 i use 4 lb high vis floro. $125.00 so for 250 amazing set up
John I second this! I have used my st croix ultralight for a good 6-7 years at least and just this weekend tore up a creek with it. Even caught a 2 pound smallie on that trip! I have a pfleuger on mine but that rod is fantastic
8 is pretty diverse for a creek. There's a lot more species in there I'm sure but they become so small you have to use a special tactic just to catch them.
0:53 1/64th jighead with mule fishing minnow? Where is the link for that lure? You're catching as fast as we do on live worms. That thing is the real deal!! Ok, @16:21. But where's the affiliate link? Gotta get you PAID brother - you're the one selling these things!
Sorry you didn't get the 10, but nonetheless, it was still a very good 1.5 hour time. Really surprised you did so well. That creek was really shallow and clear.
THIS...is my favorite type of fishing. Here in South Florida, if you hook on to 2 lb Mayan cichlid on a ultralight rod or Shell Crackers, you are into a fight and hopefully some dinner... God bless John. 👍✝️♥️🎣🛶🏹🇺🇸...p.s. what reel was that ?.. it is beautiful ❤️. Thanks again

@@seanp9157 Because it makes you have to play the fish. Gives the fish a lot better chance of getting off the hook. It has definitely made me a better fisherman plus it is so easy to do release. Most of the time you do not have touch the fish to release it. A lot healthier for the fish.

Wading in the water under shaded trees and doing quite a bit of catching, hard to beat. 💯
You are one of the most accurate casters I have ever seen!
check out @ndyakangler ! hes crazy w the casts and his content is just as interesting and high quality as this guys :)

I love fishing in creeks! Never know what your gonna catch! Great video John!
Shallow, shallow...the water is deeper in my toilet than that creek!
You got me into creek fishing lol I don’t even want to go after larger game anymore. My son absolutely loves it too
same man, i love the exploration aspect as well, sometimes maybe ending up somewhere you shouldn’t definitely gets the blood flowing
I'm going to try to it definitely! I've always loved the idea of finding fish in tiny, little spots youd never expect to find fish in.

Glad you can still fish in shorts! It was in the high 40s here in Maine yesterday morning when I left for work. Thanks for the video!
8/10 isn't bad. Great little stream. Tightlines and God bless.
Nothing better than ultra light fishing. Loved the video too
Great video, ultra light fishing is fun, especially when you can sight fish in the clear water.
I like how your videos focus on the fun aspects of fishing. What a great spot for an ultralight fishing adventure.

How could you forget about the Longear Sunfish!? If you can't catch anything else, they are in the creek and ready to eat!
Another great adventure. Many thanks John.

Uhhhh….Hmm..Hmmm, he said stump knocker! Uhh huh huh
I would rather fish for small bluegill on a remote creek than 20 pound salmon on a river packed with fisherman.
Journal your results brother.
Bro… this creek might as well be called “catfish bait creek” Jesus. You were pulling perfect flathead bait over and over and over
If you would file those barbs off your hooks you would not have any problems getting them off the hook. Less damage to the fish and shows a lot more skill.
I agree! Needle nose pliers is faster than a file. Just fold the barb flat.
How does that show more skill?
