I totally agree with this review. I’ve had my RX for a few weeks now. I don’t race, so it’s more of a play bike for me. Out of the four bikes I own I believe I have the most fun on this bike. I haven’t even adjusted my power-valve yet but I believe that is on my to do list this weekend.
Hey guys thanks for sharing. I’m considering a 300 race edition and removing the headlight, horn, turn signals etc using the Beta Race harness but if I just buy the RX model wouldn’t I essentially end up with the same thing? I realize the tire is a 19” on the RX versus 18 on race edition. Would this be a suitable bike for woods racing, single track/ hard enduro with the right suspension settings dialed?
The engine characteristic is a little different on the RX as the bore and stroke are slightly different. That being said, the KYB setup offers the most tuneable suspension option compared to the sachs. I have a 300 race but had my suspension guy who is a machinist turn the stems down to 6mm to take race tech gold valves and now it's money. Could've saved some $$ being able to put them in a set of KYB's myself. you could go race harness but the controls aren't too crowded imo. My next bike will be the RX
This sounds great Now that this model is good BETA should set there sights on making A BIG bore 2 stroke What if they made a "600 RX" They would sell like hot cakes So many people miss these bikes

I've had my 300 race for 7 years and haven't touched the powervalve, how did it go?
Snappier, with a more aggressive hit. On a loamy surface, it is the way to go.
Just bought a 2024. I rode the 2023 you are testing and it is good.

Cool but I want a kick start.
40hp a yamaha yz 250 har 46 let that sink
it's a easy/cheap to maintain and ride motocross bike for weekend warriors not racers. Most riders never riden a single race :)
