  • Here are some clips of Dweezil and Moon Unit Zappa starring in Normal Life, which aired in the early 90's. I had a few of these on VHS and was cleaning them out; I couldn't bear to throw them away so now they'll live on forever...

i love that actual music was a huge part of the show's plot, a lot like uncle jesse's scenes in full house !

Wow! Keneally at 3:00 - a few years before Hat came out... and a couple years after I saw him on stage with Frank.

Is that Scott playing bass along with Mike?
And if so, who's the drummer?

I only had what I put on here. I have one more clip that didn't end up in this version of the video; it's where he's playing the solo of "Maybe Tonight" in his room and then he's done playing asks a picture of Eddie Van Halen what he thought of the solo. :D That VHS was HORRIBLE quality, so it's probably OK that I uploaded this one without it.

The drummer is current Vaultmeister Joe Travers.

Very cool. I pegged Scott and Mike (the hat is a giveaway) but couldn't place the drummer.

Do you have all the episodes? I still have some recorded on VHS, but man I wish they'd release all these. I rather enjoyed this show.

Normal Life from the Producers of ALF, The Blues Brothers, Ghostbusters, NewsRadio, The Jeff Foxworthy Show, The Naked Truth, The Steve Harvey Show and Just Shoot Me
I remember this show very well when I was in the 3rd Grade
This show aired on Wednesday Nights at 8/7 Central followed by Sydney with Valerie Bertinelli of One Day at a Time Fame and then both shows switched times on the same nights
The problem with both Normal Life and Sydney was that both shows were up against NBC's Hit Series Unsolved Mysteries and abc's Wednesday Night Duo of Growing Pains and Head of the Class
I guess you can say that the Zappas and Valerie were no match for the likes of Robert Stack, The Seavers and Charlie Moore aka Dr. Johnny Fever on WKRP

Was that Uncle Joey in the beginning. I didn't know was known for more than bad comedy and breaking Alanis Morriset's heart.
