I'm considering throwing wahoo bombs/jigs on a Tranx in the future. Did you have a top shot on the reel? I haven't used many low profile reels and wonder how a top shot would feed through on a cast or if it is best to go straight spectra to leader? Great catch! Thanks!

If you're throwing wahoo bombs just use about 3' of 60lb. wire, that's what I did. I don't think a top shot would feed reliably through the guides on this rod or through the level-wind on the reel.
