I did this repair after watching your video and reading some forums online. It's a time consuming job, but not as bad as I thought it would be. It took about 8 hours, but I took my time. The hardest part is handling the pano roof. It is heavy and awkward. 4 or 5 people are needed . The video helps a lot. The tether clip on the A pillar is a pain. If I ever do this again, I'll have a couple of new ones and cut the old tether out.I did go ahead and slide the headliner out the back in order to get it out of my way. Removing the old seal takes a while. I used a decal removing wheel on my drill and had my son hold a shop vac next to it while I ran the drill. Also, I took off all the trim in the rear. It was easier for me than trying to wrestle it back when I finished. The dealer wanted over $4000 to do this because they said the only way they would do it would be to replace the whole pano roof. It's really not that bad.
Glad it went well. This A pillar tethers are a pain but I’ve removed hundreds so I know the tricks. I did have trouble with the fit on the rear garnishes but I didn’t want to remove all the seat belts. Did you remove all the lower garnishes also?
Great video if I ever want to go down this rabbit hole. Better this came from a Toyota insider to explain what to expect in the innards of the liner. Thanks for sharing!!
Man am so great full with this tutorial cause I am actually inside my venza thinking of what to do. Then I decided to check on UA-cam then I saw ur video. Thanks a lot my friend
Thank you for this, was following the toyota R&R and it was calling for removing the rear seats. Saved me a bunch of time. Doing this on my personal vehicle during downtime at the shop.
How do you mean open? Only the front opens with the controls. The back doesn’t open but the glass itself is fastened to the panoramic frame with nuts. Is this what you mean?
Where is the button to open panoramic roof? Like I know the controls to open the sunroof is right above where the controls to turn the inside lights on. Both sunroof and panoramic roof can both be opened together. I just don’t know the button to open the panoramic roof for use.
Hi thanks for the video lots of important details. What will be the easiest and best seal to use? is there a product i can use without the folding and stacking?
Yes. 3M window ribbon I believe is best. I did not get a chance to use it but, someone on a Facebook forum recommended it. I didn’t because it wasn’t available. It is specifically for windows. I recommend the 3M window ribbon.
Would you happen to have a link to the 3M product that you would recommend? There are a few different options when looking at Amazon ….. thank you for the video ,, Plan on talking my wife’s 13 model as soon as I can get the materials
I really don’t know about the ones with out. But my guess is that you need to pull the roof moldings. I’d say that water is dwelling and somehow finding the path of least resistance.
Whats up Joe, do you have a way to shoot you a message or contact. I should be close to you and was curious to see if you'd have time to reseal my sunroof panel sometime soon sir. I just don't have the time currently. Thanks man.
I just got a 2014 Venza, 144,000 miles. No sun or moon roof. There is sitting water in the passenger door handle. I don't see anywhere that looks like it's been leaking. I don't think it was wet anywhere else. Does anyone know what this might be from?
It is possible to be coming from inside the door. There is a plastic membrane that is out on there to seal put moisture, maybe this is gone from a previous repair or has come off.

I removed the rear garnishes, but not the B or C pillar garnishes

Thank you for sharing your video. A great 👍 help from seeing this.
Great tutorial on this repair, hopefully I will never have to do this myself.
I hope not. I enjoyed doing it and would even consider doing others. Not sure what the repair is worth though.
Damn. Thanks for the video, Hella job, I think I’ll fork the money to the Toyota dealer. 😂
Good job. Thank for show US
Thanks for the video. It should help me a lot
Hope it goes well. Let me know how it goes or if you have any questions.
Great tutorial! This is probably a silly question but how do you open the panoramic sunroof?

You can only open the sunroof part. The back part is only to let light in.

3M 08612 Windo Weld Round Ribbon Sealer, 3/8 inch x 15 ft Kit a.co/d/c3XbmaB
@@joesweeny3928 can I assume 15 feet will be insufficient and will need two rolls of windo weld?
@@patrickzambori473 yes, you will two boxes.
I have a 2014 Venza without the sun/moonroof. I have the same leak, front passenger. Is the fix different for cars with no sunroof?

I got your message.
Also did it work after installation
Do you mean the function? Or did it leak? Yes functions and no leaks.
What's the part number for the seal?
Sorry I just saw this. I am not sure of the PN but it’s 3M window ribbon. It comes in a roll and you can find it on Amazon.
Do you think aviation form in place gasket could work?

Where are you located and how much you will charge for this Job same problem here
I’m in southern Illinois. It took 6-8 hours so for it to be worth me doing again I’d say 1000 min.
Is there a workaround ? 😂😂
It would be nice if there was. I saw one guy say that he caulked the outside and left it. Not sure that would look very good.
location and price
I’m in southern Illinois. Not sure how much it is worth. I had about 6-8 hours in it. Maybe $1000? Not sure what a fair price is.
