Types of Society

This video is an overview connected to four other videos (pre-modern society, modern society, post modern society, and modernization), It is intended to connect these videos together. Social scientists can classify societies into three basic groups, based on a number of characteristics. The changes that took place within society among these characteristics represent a primary source of motivation behind the work of the founders of sociology in the west. Additionally, modern sociology is made up in a large measure by different ways of trying to understand these various characteristics.
