Every bit of this scene is so warm and wholesome, his relationship with his Dad who then shows such pride his Son is using his abilities for something positive and even though there is a slight tinge of disappointment when he rejects his heritage it doesn't stop him being supportive and he doesn't berate him. The at first what seemed to be "thugs" where just chuffed to meet him, then he shares a beer with them too with smiles all around.

Bvs. I'm not even gonna start the Suicide Squad discussion, that one is self explanatory. WW is amazing, except for when they royally fuck up the ending. Aquaman is fun and charming, but doesn't feel like anything brand new. Shazam honestly feels like a Marvel movie. I like it a lot, but still. Haven't seen Birds of Prey. And then there's ZSJL, a movie that's kind of slow, but it just kinda keeps getting better the longer it goes on. The characters are great. The humor is surprisingly funny in a natural way and never feels fprced or cringey (*squints at Josstice League*), the visuals, while muted a lot of the time, are pretty cool and I've watched that one Flash scene during the climax of the movie (you know the one) about 29 times now and it still doesn't cease to amaze me.
This movie means so much for those who loved Aquaman, who were tired of the jokes from people who had no idea what they were talking about. Thank you James Wan, thank you Jason Momoa, thank you all involved!
This is one of my favorite scenes in the movie. This whole movie just destroys cliches and expectations. The cliche of bikers or thugs picking a fight with someone with superpowers and the expectation of the hero easily beating them up is changed to a bunch of tough looking bikers wanting a photo because they’re fans of his. We see Aquaman feeling a bit awkward then being like, fuck it whatever and just starts having a good time and drinking with them. It’s honestly very wholesome and non toxic masculinity.
0:35 I read somewhere that when Jason and Temeura hugged during this scene, they touched noses which in Polynesian culture is called the "Hongi", a traditional greeting. They both did it because they wanted to honor their Polynesian and Hawaiian heritage on the big screen.
When you press noses, you share breath, and breath is the essence of life. Māori greet each other with “Kia Ora”, which pretty much is an acknowledgement of life. So a hongi is a celebration of life through connection and unity.

I love that. The only thing I would nitpick and bothers me tbh is how all of Atlantis suddenly changed their clothes. Other than that I think it fits or can fit.

I really like the idea of having the ability to breathe not only on land but also in water. It's one of those abilities one will definitely take. It only makes me think, though. That I would smell like sea water and fish when I emerge from the deep waters like Aquaman and Namor, still really cool, though.
This was the scene that made me actually start to enjoy this film. I was like "oh, ok this is the tone we're going for with him? Ok I'm down for it. Let's go goofy but fun Aquaman"

Love the pictures scene it’s something you could see Jason Momoa doing in real life. He always takes funny photos with fans. It looked like he laughed into the mug when he asked him if he needed to get him a sippy cup. Pure gold.

Aquaman in the bar is Jason Momoa playing himself. He showed up at my local dive bar and was basically the same exact dude. It was hilarious and he bought everyone a round of drinks.
