Many younger boomers aren't prepared for retirement. Some who were low wage workers who had jobs with no benefits, or pensions weren't able to save much money for retirement. Others had a catastrophic event that drained their limited finances. These are the homeless seniors we are now beginning to see on the streets. Our society knew this wave was coming, and did nothing to avert it. Unfortunately, it will grow larger in the coming years.....
Sad when your car is your safe place, but really it is not. We group together. But one couple is missing. We are so worried. They are 79. Kids didn't want them either. But we had our kids, they don't need to have us. 2 year waiting list . I lost my apartment due to violence from the convicts put in senior housing.
People need jobs that pay enough so that you are able to put money away for emergencies. You shouldn't work a full time job and still be living paycheck to paycheck!
And we have Biden’s invited guests getting FREE hotel stays…iPhones, medical and of course food. Here is our CITIZENS having to live in cars and vans…if their lucky…..this administration has caused this inflation and people can’t afford food and shelter….older people need help….

Where is this ? At least he had a car. That’s one person they found an apt. I’m headed for homeless, I give it about 4 months.

My daughter was very supportive and wasn't in a position to do much for me financially. She was definitely my emotional support during that time.
