When running refer's put one pallet at the head then two and then one. That way the weight is not all on the 5th wheel. Then two pallet's all the way back
I would get a S600 or S700 for deep frozen thermo king, the 230 are already around 10 yrs old and some shippers qont load you. And the S600 or S700 are carb forever just in case you want to do loads in CA. THE only thing with the ( S ) units you have to change the egr around 4000 hrs, but other than that they work very good.

I dont know how you do it in the US but i run for the largest grocery retailer in Canada and grocery doesnt go on reefer trailers, they're on dry vans. Reefers are used for Fresh and frozen loads and they all have the shoot. Most places will not accept a reefer without the shoot, especially food related product

The trailer you were looking carefully at the reefer engine and started had a oil filter dated 11/21. So it has been sitting a lot or maintenance has been lousy.

It makes perfect sense to buy a trailer you can use to move with then if you buy the right trailer you can put it to work after your settled in your new digs. @@TruckingTogether that’s a main reefer trailer supply dealer in Salt Lake City there dealing with all of he large carriers in the US there not interested in an Owner operator looking for 1 trailer have you tried Truck paper and an X owner operator would be a better option
@garyfuiten1251 Maybe so if you're buying brand new, but used equipment needs to be inspected so ya know wat yur gettin. Some issues are acceptable fixes and others just aren't. I was hoping they could borrow a trailer to move. Lots of people have an extra trailer or two settin around. Mine just happen to be 3 hopper bottoms and an edn dump.
I drove refrigerated trailers I don’t think they come flat floors ,mostly for drainage did a lot poultry and that’s the worse raw chicken juice will rot a trailer out in no time

I have heard Brokers won’t load a certain older trailer, don’t know if it is true.
Those trailers are build in Utah.
I know you guys know this I go to shippers that won’t load a trailer if it’s over 10 years old.

Sales people seem to be a moody bunch completely unable to discern between who's merely kickin tires and who's ready to buy. It gets dang frustrating.
I think nowadays they think you've done your Research & should be ready to take a quick final look and SIGN the bottom line. 😮

Be careful I have towed there trailers I would have them go through it with fine tooth comb
