Lotus came to my high school in Adelaide in1971 and played this, I've never forgotten it. Great to find it, good Aussie' band. Thanks for the memories..

What was in the water in Adelaide that originated so many great artists. Lotus, The Twilights, Zoot, Cold Chisel, Bobby Bright, Masters Apprentices just to name & few.
Except the lads who formed The Easybeats lived in the migrant hostel based in Sydney, not Adelaide. You make a good point though, as many musicians found their way out of the oppressive environments of the state migrant hostels by first finding like-minded others to form bands, then working the various circuits with material drawn from their favoured influences. Those bands who were destined for greatness featured original material, so it was the songwriters who were pressed into signing "key man" clauses in their contracts & agreements. The music industry of the early rock'n'roll era wasn't exactly transparent: the accountancy practices were dodgy at best, designed to deliver maximum bucks to the supporting players (everyone else bar the musicians) and screw the creative people. End of rant. Haha ...
Certainly great Australian music! But Lotus were originally from Sydney and recorded this in Melbourne. They did base themselves in Adelaide later though and were managed by Hamish Henry based in Adelaide. So maybe they liked the taste of the water there!
Fantastic Band!!

It was the migrant hostel in Elizabeth and you missed The Easybeats.
