The 'Made in Japan' is a big feature.
although after 'Japan' I consider 'Thailand' built bikes the next highest quality. (Sorry India)

I'm a guy who's been riding Harleys for 15 years and I really like these. I like the shaft drive and liquid cooling. This engine does sound really good with aftermarket pipes too. Bike like this I'm not as concerned with horsepower as I am torque. I don't care if it's particularly fast but I do care if it's bogged down when I add the weight of a passenger or gear to it.

@@michigan_masks8969the reason that the Harley Sportster has been in continuous production since 1957 is that buyers like it. if it had the aftermarket support that sportsters have then it would be a great alternative. as of now there are no big bore kits or anything to really up the power. you can get SOME accessories for it but nowhere near as many as with a HD. there are a lot things that make the honda better but it's only in that limited sense.

Actually, Indian made the first production V-Twin motorcycle in 1905. Four long years later in 1909 Harley Davidson finally followed Indian's footsteps and started production of their own V-Twin engine. So the real question is, "Why is Harley Davidson an Indian wannabe?

@@jlrutube1312 nah I think Honda started their V-Twin cruiser stuff back in the 80’s when Indian wasn’t even around.

I'm not saying several of the Japanese bikes didn't copy Harley. The cruisers often did, the sportbikes obviously didn't. I was just saying that even Harley has been known to copy other bikes from time to time themselves, like when Harley copied Indian's V-Twin. And having V-Twins are one of the main things Harley is known for. Also the V-Rod was brought out because the air-cooled push-rod Harleys were being outperformed by the water cooled Japanese bikes with overhead cams operated by timing chains. All of the motorcycle manufacturers copy each other from time to time. (My Honda VTX is highly influenced by Indian.... it's sort of an Indian wannabe.) It's still a great bike though!

I would love to have few more HONDA logos. All those who are like AMERICAN and bla bla can go ₹&#@ themselves. I would really want a tough and reliable base for my builds.

A heavy bike and only one front disc, WHY? Everyone knows 2 dics give better braking and choosing to use less front braking power for aesthetic is just for the simple minded. I am speaking from experience, I have a sportsbike and bought a cruiser, that weighed 100 lbs more, within the first week a truck pulled into my path. Now my sportsbike (CBR600) would have had no problem, but the cruiser just slowed a bit. I sold it the next day. When safety is sacrificed for "the looks" , well count me out.

Maybe ride less agressively and pay attention to the road? Don't blame machine for user error.
