not at all, from my point of view, actually. it's not my favorite ye album in no sense of the word. my main criticisms to the album would be that it doesn't affect kanye's discography at all, it didn't need to exist, it can't sustain its own ideas, it doesn't address the different edges of the scope of religion that the record tries to present, which makes Jesus Is King, finally, boring. even though it's not necessarily a bad album (6.5/10), I understand people who consider it his worst work and, by far, his weakest, among with 808s and Donda. But, anyway, it has its moments tho.
@@elchavos0 to me it's definetly his weakest but considering that faith have come across his discography for so long... an album which speaks about it deserves a place in it.
@@yzyus yh i get that i was mad young when it came out and it was the first kanye album i listened to all the way through and it was pretty fuckin good it still holds up
My personal favorite and the one i listened to the most. Maybe objectively speaking its a little more repetitive and less relevant like selah, follow god, and use this gospel. But to me its up there
I’m seeing a lot a comments suddenly act like this album is good. It’s the definition of mid. It got some good songs like on god, follow god, and selah but the rest is just aight
More consistent than something like donda tho. Jesus is king has high and lows but the worst songs are at least enoyable. While an album like donda, in wich its 10 best songs are elite, all in my top 50 kanye songs, has at least other 10 ABSOLUTELY BAD songs.
I think it has 2 songs that could have been way better (jesus lord if longer, every hour if Kanye would have been on it) 2 mid songs but i like them, 4 very good songs and 3 bangers. Not bad
I get it, yandhi has so much potential. But we shouldnt compare them... also i think that a song like selah is better like this than chakras (hot take tho)
@@oskain in my books yes. Donda 2 has a bad mixing and some songs are poor of concepts and lyricism, but city of gods, eazy, true love, we did it kid, happy and too easy are bangers to me
Forgot how good this album is. Its hella slept on
underrated and overhated album

@@hiphopmind9758 You might be right about that tho
Like idk why people hate this album so much I think this is definitely apart of his "Bests" catalog
they hate it because yandhi should have been released instead, an album that would change music
Yeah, i think that people compare this too much with yandhi. It's not in my top kanye albums but i find it very good and definetly not a miss
thats what im thinkin this shi fire

@@hiphopmind9758still, its Kanye’s worst album

That’s also how I listen to Water.
JIK is so underrated, deserves more attention. It's so short but it's so good.
On God is the best in the album imo

100 percent accurate

Praise the Lord ✋🏼
accurate af, but it had so much more potential if he kept more yandhi songs with gospel like lyrics, still a good album.
I miss Ye’s Wyoming era 😢
Thanks bro
Listening to this album is the closest I've got to being a serious Christian
Glory to Jesus
selah lowkey go hard

Follow god is in my top 3 kanye

this album has a lot of bad songs but the good songs (Selah, Follow God, Closed on Sunday) were great

And "God is"
Use this gospel by far the best on the album and closed on Sunday is corny
Glory to God that He gave us christians a Ye album that glorifies Him.

The best “worst” album
First half is good after that it’s pretty bad, imo at least
I agree the first half is amazing
