We are in Pompano Beach, Florida and there is a lovely couple from France that have a traditional French Bakery, we were there this morning and I had a mini-chocolate eclair and raspberry tart! I love French pastries…Your eyes were popping with sugar stars after eating all those delicious bites! 😁

Fern & Ryan, this one was hard to watch! My. parents retired from the USA and moved to ST. Maxime and I too discovered the Tart Tropezienne. We don't get that in the US but each spring we would take our two kids for a visit and my mouth started to water for that desert half way over the Atlantic. Our son and daughter are now your and Ryans age, my parents have passed on, but we really enjoyed seeing the delight you had for all the great deserts! We typically now visit Italy, but I think it time for another trip to the Cote D'Azur soon! Larry & Mary

Fern OMG this was utterly divine perhaps among if not my favorite vlog! Btw, this is Bianca (imsojazzed) using my significant other's tablet while my iPad is being repaired... As a bonafide pastry aficionado I was all in from the moment you announced your itinerary to the famous bakery. History aside, I was delighted and tintillated with your selections and not to be out done had already paused to get my treat with a frappuccino! And ironically we have almond croissants in our fridge but they appear to pale by comparison (want to throw out now) to yours which is a must have dessert when we hit the Cote d'Azur! So thanks for taking us on this sugar adventure, as it was cute, hilarious and absolutely mouthwatering. Finally, do hope that you are doing your cold dips in your backyard pool...love ya.

Oh that did make me laugh!! As I always say, if you're gonna have one, have a big one!! and that was one big blow out but thoroughly deserved. Those cakes looked so good but the tarte tropezienne made my mouth water. I hope you didnt pay for it the next day lol. I find now if I go overboard on sugar it upsets my stomach. From one sugar addict to another... I'm wondering if you checked your blood glucose level after the taste test and then how long it took to return to normal. I also feel my heart rate increase when I have sugar.
The trick is to have a tablespoon of vinegar in water & then some veggies (followed by proteins if needed) and then your treat. It reduces the glucose spike xx
I didn’t take my reading straight after as it would’ve been off the scale and made me feel worse! But, it took me almost 3 days to get back into light ketosis! It really does make you question if it’s worth it? Although on this occasion, it was a nice treat & celebration to January goals. ❤️

Yes, it is Epiphany that is celebrated in France traditionally with galette. De-li-ci-ous. On the 2nd of February the French are celebrating Chandeleur with freshly made crêpes. Seasonal traditions are great. I am so glad that you are really joining in. Life in France is great! It is all delicious. Thank you.

Good morning! What fun! Something about February... Indeed, coffee ☕☕ would have been a finishing touch for you to wash it all down - or tea . Generally speaking in Canada what is very popular are donuts.There is a huge coffee ☕ & donut spot called Tim Hortons. They are celebrating their 60th this year.He was a famous hockey player who came up with the idea .We have friend who has a local bakery, without bias the best.He makes specialty besides the usual daily sweets.(( Wonderful sourdough breads). About once a month he will make croissant.Plain, chocolate, almond & guerrier cheese.They are all really well done.He does fill the almond one with marzipan.He doesn't coat things with syrup. Couldn't help but notice that is often the case with what I saw .He does make a fruited pavlova recently . It's wonderful. When I look outside today I know that are prediction by the ground hog on February 2 of 6 more weeks of winter is coming true. Tradition says if he sees his shadow he could return to hibernation and sleep another 6 weeks. If he doesn't see his shadow it's going to be an early spring. Right now it is snowing and it snowed all night. It was brown and down to the grass before this. We're not going to have terrible cold with it.Just normal winter cold.I do love it's white 🐻❄️🤍 beauty . Presently it is -2°C .We hot blooded Canadians enjoy it.Although there are limits - this is fine.I hope you had a good nap after the sugar splurge ! Thanks for the visit. Stay cool...❤❤❤❤

I don't eat sugar at least for the last 7 months. But the pastries looked so delicious. Especially the first one seemed to be my favorite or the Strawberry Tarte. I guess it doesn't hurt to eat these sugary treats. For me it would have to be at least twice a year. Loved the video

i get mille-feuille & eclair if they are made in house...you can check to see if they are brought in on the card with their name...sometimes it tells you what bakery they're from..
Hi darlings❤, compared with your gastronomic marathon you had in London, I think two years ago, this was nothing!!!!🤣🤣🤣 But this is my favourite, I have to say! Our tradition is, the minute we get the rental car, in France, we hit the boulangeries!!!😂🤦♀️🤷♀️ What stuck with me, (and I tried to recreate), was the La Croix de Savoie, a gorgeous custard pastry bought in Chamonix, this type of almond croissant, filled with the almond cream, bought in Combloux and an amazing fruit cake bought in Strasbourg! The fruit tarts in Combloux were outstanding as well. What can I say, other than: Vive la France!!!😊❤❤❤
