If I may give a suggestion: when it comes to the scorpion tali, DO NOT use the old formula of a rubbery elastic wire inside bead-like pieces. It is great when new, allowing whip like actions and so on, but it won't last and it usually ends in a floppy mess that definetly won't fit with the iconic arching scorpion tail image. I've seen it enough in transformers to know that, eventually, it will hamper the looks of the action figure (see Transformers Prime: Beast Hunters Ripclaw).
You've come a long way Dave!! So glad to see you doing what you love! Just went to your parents yesterday and saw your badass collection in their entryway. You're doing awesome bro!

MOTU Origins articulation would likely be too much of a hassle. Could potentially cause problems with the engineering; stability, balancing, and such. I believe that 8 or 9 POA would be relatively ideal as a standard for this type of action figures; 2x haunches, waist, 2x shoulders, 2x wrists, neck, and maybe also the lower jaw. Obviously, not counting the tail on the green one.
All good, they arnt for everyone. We are going more classic inspired, and classic MOTU and TMNT figures only had leg articulation to fit in vehicles or sit on mounts. I hate how easy they can fall over standing on their own, so I wanted these to be sturdy and stand well.
If these were around 35 bucks, I'd have graved one of each species. As is I'm grabbing the alt color Sting Cobra. I must admit, i think Sting looks better in blue while Moo Moo looks better in green. I also love that their little buddies get color swapped as well.
Totally get it, we made these as affordable as possible without losing money. Truth be told, if we hit the $120K goal and only that, I still might be out of pocket on these unless we can move some more serious numbers. So for now $99 for the set (on KS) for the set of two is all I can afford unless we move some serious numbers. Here's hoping! Thanks for the kind words!
@IgoStuff oh understand completely. Hence why I'm still grabbing one. I can always get another on Big Bad down the line. Quick question, though: Are the weapons in the accessory pack going to be painted?
These are fantastic looking fugures! Excellent choices on the color schemes and a cool display poses. Having been an action figure customizer, I can see and really appreciate the work put into them! I think the bigest problem independent figure lines like these face is the lack of story behind them. The majority of collectors collect figures because they have an attachment to them, either via story, television, or movie. Its not a question of are these figures worth the price (I think they are due to all the labor and resources put into them and the apparent quality). The question is, am I (as a collector) willing to spend my limited "hobby" funds to buy something i currently have no emotional investment in? Side note: these would make for fun additions to the old school MOTU line, so hopefully you get some traction there.
Would really like to see you do a review of the ALL CAPS comics Cyberfrog toys I think you would really like them. Ethan Van Sciver almost had a cyberfrog toyline from playmates in the 90s, he still has the prototype that they made for him and is trying to get it made into a toy now. He sells his toys through eBay and bbts. His comics are self published and he raises money on indiegogo for them. He is also doing a he,-man style toy of his original character reignbow the brute which is based on his comic book that's a parody of rainbow Brite. Hope you or anyone reading this check them out. His giant alien wasp toys are some of the best indie toys ever made.
Would have been better to have a single figure with the swappable parts. That way people can make the character he wants by swapping hands and a head. Then offer new hands and heads down the line.
Cool idea, but how cool are the two different bodies!?!? And the concept art for future characters just makes em crazier and crazier. If it was just one body, I dont think it'd be nearly as cool or expansive. Thanks though!
@@IgoStuff it's for the initial run. You would be able to release other bodies in the future. This would allow customization while cutting the costs of the figure.
Loved the Scorpion 🦂 design and coloring, so well done on that regard, but the lack of articulation at that price point does not work for me at all. And the SiZe. They need to be at least 1 or 2 inches bigger... They don't look the right soze (in My opinion) next to old MOTUs. I get the retro idea, but even Street Sharks were recently remastered, and even MOTU Origins offers the same mix and match, but more articulated. With at least MOTU Origins kind of articulation, I would certainly plead for a few Scorpions (all repaints, for an army builder). 😢
Pros: Fantastic figures design that can fit in the same category as MOTU, TMNT, Street Sharks, Extreme Dinosaurs, Battle Beasts, etc! Cons: 60$!? I can buy a freakin' video game with that type of cash!
They are $55 each on the KS, $99 for the pair. Also, we're a crazy small independent operation, we just cant compete with big toy company prices. It's like a local mom and pop shop vs Wal-Mart, but I get it!
@@IgoStuff I was thinking more neck, diaphragm, butterflies, biceps, elbows, wrists, hips, thighs, knees, ankles, and toes. It's not my thing, but I wish you success. 👍If in the future you want to make highly articulated versions I'll be there. 👍
Totally get it, hoping people understand that we arnt doing Super7 numbers, or any other toy company, super small operation with 100% unique tooling between the two main figures. Hoping these gain popularity and the unit costs can come down as we move more mass.
You must be quite new to the action figure community or you're pretty forgetful or you're not very knowledgeable. (Not only) In a regard of the indies and/or the crowdfunds, this has been quite a common pricing for years. You've never heard of the likes of 'Legends of Dragonore' from 'Formo Toys', 'Animal Warriors of the Kingdom' from 'Spero Toys', or 'Armies of Ashmore' from 'Ideas from Mars'? Have you ever been to the 'Four Horsemen' website and saw their action figures and their pricing? P.S. - When you make a statement and strive to assert a claim, please speak only for yourself! Do not say "we"!
I would jump on them but they're just too expensive. I don't think the articulation is going to be all that great when they're done. I'm definitely a Mattel guy, so I am very selective with which kickstarter's I am backing. It seems like every year Mattel adds another MOTU sublime, and I'm already in on all the existing lines including the upcoming Masterverse vintage collection. I did back Flip-or and Brutal Realm, but at $60 a piece it's just too much.
Thanks for the feedback, and we totally get it. The goal is to get the price down in the future. Unfortunately, being a REALLY SMALL operation, totally independent, we just dont have the means to move the quantities to make these any cheaper like Mattel does. We made them as affordable as possible on KS - $55 for one figure, $99 for the set, but any less than that Id literally be losing money unless I move THOUSANDS of units, which for a brand new unknown IP, isnt likely, and if it IS, we can adjust for future releases. Also, each figure is totally unique, so there is no shared parts (except on the variants) but literally no re-use parts on Sham-Moo-Moo and Sting-Cobra, which makes the tooling that much more expensive. It's a risk, but we wanted these to feel like awesome updated TMNT figures. Thanks for the feedback!

1- figures look greate love the idea of antropomoorphic buff chimeras. But..... 2 issues. For me so fsr ...1 the scale ..too small for my taste 6 or 7 would be oerfect. For those characters and. To blend then wirh my other lines And the most important... If the srticulation. Is going to be as it looks on the xut ilustration. Is going to be super limited ..no articulation at all from the waste down. No elbow artuculation and just a swevel on the srms sre basicamy. Statues with limited posability like ncfarlen use to make 😢. And yes the orices. It is way to wxpencive for a 5 inch figure with limited possibility. But they look great tho
Thanks for the feedback man. Size I went back and forth on, but in the end I wanted them to fit more with classic / retro-style figures, like classic MOTU, TMNT, and other Playmates figures. And thats also why the articulation was more classic-inspired. I wanted THAT but with pushed sculpt and paint details, so thats why I chose that direction. Seems like its not for everyone but seems like a lot of people are loving them. Thanks again!
I like the figures but to be honest the scale just isn’t right for me 6 to 7 inches would be a win for me because that’s mostly what is in my collection and Jesus 60 bucks for a lack of movement 5 inch figure thanks but I’m out of this one
They look nice with TMNT... But are dwarfed next to Street Sharks... So, I dunno... Unfortunately that does not convince me. And the lack of jaws articulation, arrrggg... Hope a better articulation and size could be implemented. Again, nice designs and colors.😊
To me they werent really meant to go with Street Sharks. I see them more as filling out your MOTU, TMNT, and other classic Playmates style figures. Street Sharks can stand in the back :D
10:33 You have a really perspective of "dwarfed". Street Sharks are a bit more buff but not even close to being as massive as you're trying to make out!
@@IgoStuffI totally get it, and even though they're not what I expect, I'm still getting a couple as liked their colors and designs. Hope the project can be launched and eventually, have more offerings for different kind of collectors.
I'll be honest, the only reason im not buying this is due to their lack of articulation. They look fantastic as a mini statue but not as action figurine

So you've never handled a TMNT figure? The whole line was all about countless chaotic details as soon as you went out of the "vanilla" main cast figures, same thing for Street Sharks, Extreme Dinosaurs and so on.
I'm so annoyed and against independent crappy companies trying to push their own action figure dollies without source material I'm familiar with or interested in. There's some great ones out there like valaverse, coolmodels the first, valaverse, savage crucible. But against pooptubers pushing more crap out there that actually axt as their crap has mass appeal or a interested fan base. Especially considering third party Chinese companies are burrowing through the American system and society. Very bad news for the future of companies like that.💀
@@rickytoddbotelho9555 congrats for writing the dumbest, most tone-deaf post I’ve seen on the subject yet. How dare independent companies try to get original stuff out there!! 😂😂
Nice figures, but no way... Prices on figures right now are way too expensive to begin with -- and those are lines I really want and collect! I can barely pull the trigger on them now. These? They are nice but random new concepts that mean nothing to me... and cost 10 to 20 MORE than the ones I really love collecting but feel sticker shock from.
SPIDERS!?
YUCK!
The other figures look cool, though.
Where are you seeing spiders?
The little dude is more like an ant
@@ObsessiveGeek It sounded like he called it a spider in the video.
@hammertronactionfigures2426 he did, but it doesn't look anything like one.
Also, that's singular, not plural.
They're basically Wuzzles..!
Wuzzles AMPED UP TO A 13!!!
For me everthing on the market is G.I Joe, TMNT Transformers, etc. Are there ANY original IPs on the market, yes there is Monstors!
HECK YEAH!!! MONSTOOORRRRRRSSSSSS!!!!!!!
It's like if Street Sharks did Fuzors and were made by the TMNT team.
I'll take it!
@@JO-iv7tl Appreciate the feedback but I think we made the right choice, thanks!
I subscribed like 10 years ago 😂
The same here! 😀
Thanks for the feedback, and all good, these arnt for everyone!
@@IgoStuff I can't argue with that really.
@@thefirstofthelastones8952 thanks! And not trying to be argumentative, i hate that, just trying to provide context. Thanks for hearing me out!
@@IgoStuff No prob but for reals hopefully this gets more recognition because I know creativity when I see it.
@@thefirstofthelastones8952 that means a ton, thanks so much!
I see the mosquitor shrine.
Nah. I like the sculpting on sting cobra, but I also like my figures to actually move. Especially for SHF prices.
But they DO move! Arms, head, waists and possibly more! And they'll stand up better than ANY OTHER toy you have...
@@IgoStuff I was thinking more neck, diaphragm, butterflies, biceps, elbows, wrists, hips, thighs, knees, ankles, and toes. It's not my thing, but I wish you success. 👍If in the future you want to make highly articulated versions I'll be there. 👍
@@WompaStompaCyn Thanks man, so to clarify, you just meant MORE movement ;) . And thanks!
Wuzzles gone fantasy
I never saw the Wuzzles as a kid so it's pure coincidence, but not mad about it!
@IgoStuff I'm not either it's a cool concept like wuzzles were marketed to little kids like care bears this would be like the boys action wuzzle lol
They should paint the buddies
i like the single-color look to them to match what playmates did and classic keshi figures.
Keshi is way better imo
@@MonsterKollector agreed!
Sham mumu reminds me of torca but instead of an orca/elephant it's a orca/cow
Yah I never saw Fuzors so it's a crazy coincidence. We love Sham-Moo-Moo!
Orcas are the largest species of dolphins.
Heck yeah they are! And the most AWESOME!
Great idea but we're not paying super 7 prices lol
Totally get it, hoping people understand that we arnt doing Super7 numbers, or any other toy company, super small operation with 100% unique tooling between the two main figures. Hoping these gain popularity and the unit costs can come down as we move more mass.
@@IgoStuff Also on a side note, super 7 will eventually see a decline in their sales if they keep pricing at an insane clip, lol
@@TheIndoNerd totally hear yah, and again, not Super7. Doing what makes sense for us for now, we'll always look at readjusting if we can, thanks!
Can you do a toy room tour
They won’t be that articulated man. Looks like 5 points
They are articulated, 5poa inspired.
@@IgoStuff I completely understand. I wish you guys the best of luck in getting funded, and having a long fruitful future.
@@themotuwolf thanks a ton man, means a lot!
I would grab these if it's 8". Hard to justify 60.00 for a 5.5" figure with minimal articulations.
Totally get it, they arnt for everyone, thanks for the feedback!
They would look menacing if they were taller
I really like the size. And if we made them bigger they would probably cost more.
It’s amazing how garbage like this funds but the masters of universe fall of gray skull 2 fan movie nobady wants to even donate a dollar to fund that
Yah what garbage! We should only get more MOTU, new stuff is the worst!
1- figures look greate love the idea of antropomoorphic buff chimeras. But.....
2 issues. For me so fsr ...1 the scale ..too small for my taste 6 or 7 would be oerfect. For those characters and. To blend then wirh my other lines
And the most important...
All good, they arnt for everyone, definitely going more updated retro / classic with these, but appreciate the feedback!
Too expensive and just kinda meh for the price. 😢
We think they are awesome, we get it they arnt for everyone, thanks though!
Toys for the Influencers only...
Nah, lots of people like em! Adults and kids!
@@nosoyyo6961 thank you so much for your support! We wont let you down, these are gonna be awesome, and more after this!
I'll be honest, the only reason im not buying this is due to their lack of articulation. They look fantastic as a mini statue but not as action figurine
Totally get it, we're going for the more classic / retro-style 5poa articulation, just more detailed sculpts and paints. It's not for everyone but all good!
Yo Dan,long time no chat,l got sum ideas,2 add 2 this toyline,& sny other toy or figure, with your help,if it interests you. I really need 2 sell lots of drawings 4 anything toy,or statuewise. l'll send sum pics soon,we can partner-up on these ideas, plus l have sum old school projects; dat need 2 be done over 10-20yrs now
Not a fan of the pastel colors.
All good thanks though!
The cobra havin' claws ruined the design.
He also comes with a swap-out left "hand" that's shown in the parts break-down in the video. But I LOVE the giant claw hand!
These designs are a chaotic mess. I dont see any retro inspiration at all, aside from the scale.
Huh?!?!... Like literally Huh?
THANKS! Chaotic mess is what we were going for!
So you've never handled a TMNT figure? The whole line was all about countless chaotic details as soon as you went out of the "vanilla" main cast figures, same thing for Street Sharks, Extreme Dinosaurs and so on.
@@brotquel1592 you 100% get it!
Very bad news for the future of companies like that.💀
Uh, OK! Thanks from your newest crappy independent company! We are here to annoy you!
Yeah brah. We need more source material from giant corporation to turn into toylines! Why doesn't OCP have it's own toyline??!!??
@@DeceptiJOHN. yah giant corporations need more support! THEY ARE PEOPLE TOO!

Thanks! We posted a LOT of concept art for future figures in the KS campaign!
I just can't justify spending 100 bucks on TWO action figures I have no stock in.
I'm out. Good luck to him, though.
