Great video, highly informative. Extra thumbs up goes to the cat!! One unrelated question - which tire size and ET are you running? (I know there've been gazillion forum posts about it. Still worried if 225/45/28 at ET44 will rub :D )
Hey no problem! I run 18x9+35 with 225/40/18 with 2 degrees of camber in the rear which you can get with the OEM camber bolt, and I have neuspeed black lowering springs on it
Have a 500 watt alpine amp, they don’t make that 8” typer r enclosure anymore unfortunately though. Tried to get one for my other car lol but it’s a duralast gold in the car I don’t have a capacitor or anything like that for the sub
Hi bro, Im planning to fit this into my mk6 too however I am struggling to figure out where to put the positive and negative wires for the power of the badge. I know in this video you do it directly to the battery since you have it in the boot however since I do not have a battery at the back, am i supposed to use a "add a fuse" splitter for the positive wire and plug it into a fuse on the side of the dash? Where do I also put the black negative wire to? Ive seen a video where they crimp a lug ring on the wire and then bolt it to a bolt that holds the fuse box. I just wanted to know how you would do it if you did not have a battery at the back of the car.
Hey, so negative wire wise you can go anywhere you like you can even just wrap the wire around a bolt right next the camera. Pretty much anywhere that touches bare metal is fine for a ground (negative) and yes you can tap the positive end off the fuse box also, you would just need a 12v light to find the correct fuse with constant power. 12v light tester: a.co/d/5twkbPJ
Hey i installed mine works well, but when I try to unlock the car, it doesn't unlock the boot unless I use the boot release button. Any ideas on how to fix or what the issue is.
Have to splice into the positive end of your reverse light, otherwise the RCA for the video cable goes into any aftermarket head unit with a video input
Didn’t have this issue might want to return it and get a new one, otherwise could be a wiring issue with your reverse power wire, that’s what tells it to open/ close
I was on board until the underglow :D
Just did it for fun, have done a lot with this car. I’ve turned it on probably once lol

👍👍
I like your idea for the sub. What exact amp and battery size did you use?

Hi Bro, where did you connect the red wire (reverse signal) to your headunit?
There was a wire labeled in the back I’m not sure of the exact one I can look if you still need the info
@bdorf95 thanks bro I managed to get it working👍
Hey i installed mine works well, but when I try to unlock the car, it doesn't unlock the boot unless I use the boot release button. Any ideas on how to fix or what the issue is.
I’ll check mine and see, but maybe try to disconnect it and plug in the old one and see how it works

Please help! I installed everything but the thrunk release is 2wires in the kit my golf 6 has 4wire pin :( any solutions?

@@bdorf95 yes i had an oem camera i just started making connections with alot of fuses blown. But on the end i made it work 😂💪🏼

What did you do with the fuse
Just goes in line with the power wire to the battery
I’m having a problem where it doesn’t close after I’m not in reverse any idea on why ?

@@bdorf95 yes lol........
Why though lol not that I spend much time shifting while the car is off lol
@@bdorf95 the car doesn’t magically stop needing the clutch when it is off lol, you have to be trolling
