If people thought you were kind of dumb before the whole lead thing came out.... carrying Stanleys around after will erase all doubt. Do what you feel, though. They used to wear makeup with lead and the finest clothing with arsenic. In Victorian times, people lived all the way up to their early 40s if they were lucky! There is no safe level of lead. The Food Drug and Cosmetic Act of 1938 was the last act passed regarding lead in cosmetics.

Now all the competitors are going to redesign their packaging to say LEAD FREE and it will be the next big feature consumers suddenly prioritize when buying these cups. Even though the lead in the stanley cups isn't a threat the fact that the packaging won't say lead free will set them back big time. I bet it was a competitor who put the first lead testing video out lol.

Apparently it survived a fire in a car accident. This was what led it viral and became the “must have item”. The pros is that it can keep your drink cold up to 12 hrs, 48 hrs w ice. HOWEVER, the cons is, for a $45-50 cup, it spills. And in order to prevent the spilling, you have to buy 2-3 small attachments just to prevent it from spilling.

YOU NEED A STANLEY CUP JUST GET A STANLEY DUPE IF IT HAS LEAD I HAVE A STANLEY DUPE

  • @ArrrSea

Its a soldered hole on outside liner ; the hole they vacuum the air out of, (not inside), it is covered on the outside with a steel cap. (Is it necessary, idk) Very similar to the way Yeti and ALL of the other vacuumed cups are manufactured. Litigious society at it again. Making worry where there is none. If you are going to sue one, sue them all. Yeti has it written in their FAQ (solder is +/- 40% lead), Stanley did not tell. What about all of the no name brands? I'll bet they're not so careful. Lawyers for Karens. Yes, use your plastics. They're doing us a world of good in the flotilla of plastics in the ocean gyre. Ntm the micro plastics showing up in everything. We're doomed. It won't be an asteroid. We will rot from within.
