  • How to run faster over 5K. It is a mistaken belief that to run faster, you must train faster. Always running fast will lead to exhaustion and injury and does little to improve your aerobic fitness. The way to improve your 5K time is to train slower than your current 5K PB pace for the majority of your training week and filling the rest with harder, more targeted speedwork at faster than 5K times. Running your easy runs slower will improve your aerobic fitness and allow for more faster times.
