It's for the aspect ratio. It was filmed in a thiner aspect ratio and to fit in UA-cam they've made it like that.

Pretty ambitious there. You probably won't play Belcore for a few more years, but learn it while you still can. You never know :)
Also, learn the italian if you can as well. Comes in handy for auditions :)

Concordo con lei sul fatto che Nucci abbia non poche inflessioni tenorili poco piacevoli quando si ascolta un baritono (resta comunque, a mio avviso, superiore a Domingo) ma da un punto di vista recitativo non trovo nulla da ridire!
Comunque Meletti e Capecchi erano vocalmente superiori.
