@@candran3130 The theme of that arc was hope versus pessimism, so him losing everything and yet refusing to give up on his timeline is supposed to be him creating a new hope.

Future Timeline DLC is honestly the best Dragonball I've seen in decades. Gohan's last stand, Trunks using Masenko with 17 seeing Gohan flashback, and Trunks' Super Saiyan 2 awakening is peak Dragonball as I remember it.
Definitely agree. It’s the one time where the story can be free (sorta) from its shonen shackles and have some more emotionally engaging character moments.
Let's just hope Pekora isn't broken by how many characters dies in the Goku Black arc

this might be a stupid question, but how can Goku Black exist if Goku is already dead in Future Trunks timeline?, even The Dragonball can't bring people back to life twice.

He swapped bodies with Present Goku.
Lemme explain, sometime after the Universe 6 Tournament Arc Zamasu makes a wish to swap bodies with OUR Goku. In doing so, he split the timeline in two.
1st timeline where he made the wish
2nd timeline where he was erased by Beerus
It's why Goku Black is so inherently strong, he's got the body of *a* Present Goku. One which far surpassed everyone except OUR Goku.
@@LuckiSir I mean, that could only happen in our timeline, where Goku was still alive when the 6th universe tournament Arc happened so Zamas had a reason to switch bodies with Goku, but this is the Future Trunks timeline, even Zamas didn't have a reason to switch bodies with Goku because goku is dead, and why can zamas connect to trunks timeline, did he move to trunks timeline?

It's funny Future Trunks is always the guy who goes for the kill when it comes to future bad guys and yet it's ultimately Goku and the rest who always manages to get the good outcome even if they mostly goof around and fuck around with the bad guys. Like Even during something like Goku Black's whole arc the only time he actually just get's Goku's body is literally if Goku dies and then boom. Left alone he wouldn't even become a threat and Goku himself would've just beat the next bad guy trying to rule the Universe, Yeah sure they technically lost because they had to erase all of that timeline, but it's kinda funny that in a timeline where they goofed off Goku got a literal buton to summon the guy that could wipe out all of their existence and considers him best friend...that''s just wild.

Does being a half blood mean they don't gain a big genki boost? Because if Future Gohan just ran (like the city was already wiped), he'd come back stronger with the genki boost and do it enough times. He'd eventually be stronger than the androids.
The reasoning I've seen is that Gohan didn't really ever get enough time to fully recover for the boost. I'm pretty sure Trunks gets a big boost after Gohan gives him the last Senzu, but maybe even with any boosts Gohan was getting, it still wasn't enough to overcome the androids.
zenkai boosts do less and less the stronger you get and eventually you stop getting them at all, no matter how many he got it just wasn't enough to compare to whatever trunks had when he came back after visiting the main timeline. he unlocked grade 2 and 3 but i don't think he used them in the fight
Something that I’ve always wondered about the trunks timeline is, are the namekian dragon balls still in use? Bc dende is still alive and probably took over for guru, so couldn’t they use them? Bulma should know about the namekian dragon balls. Unless I’m missing some details or overlooking something.
Original Namek was destroyed. In this timeline, all the Namekians are now on New Namek, and without Goku to go to King Kai and figure out where they are, no one has any idea how to get to them.

It's not really a future timeline, its the correct timeline. The main story is an altered one.
This would have been a bittersweet but happy ending for Trunks' timeline but no Super had to keep going with Black/Zamasu. It was cool until it gave us the maybe worst ending ever to an arc, still kinda pissed about it.

There are actually a few issues with that future timeline. Why didn’t Popo tell Gohan about the Time Chamber? Why didn’t Roshi teach Gohan the Mafuba? Why didn’t Roshi’s sister bring Goku back to life for a day and have him destroy the androids? Why didn’t Bulma have Trunks ask the past people for New Namek’s location so they could fly there and ask to use their dragon balls?
@UmbraMan1 Dunno. Let's see if I can fanwank some answers. Popo is probably too distraught by Kami's death and the global destruction to act. Canon Popo is a gentle guy. Is there any hints he can act on his own rather than on directions from whoever the earth's kami is?
Is Roshi even still alive in the manga? And even if he was, can you even do Mafuba with 1 arm? And Mafuba is very hard to do to someone stronger. Roshi caught Vegeta by surprise in ToP. If Gohan tries and fails, he dies much earlier because he shows himself to be a threat, not a toy. Too risky.
Baba is a coward if she is even alive. She had zero desire to take Vegeta to earth against Buu because of personal safety issues. Emma made her.
No one knew where New Namek was in the past. It's literally not on galactic maps, according to Jaco. Goku had to ask King Kai, he couldnt sense them.

Huh? This is the first time I have ever seen the Future Trumks and the Majin Buu thing. I thought he just returned back, killed 17 and 18 then got the Goku Black arc in Super. When did this happen in DBZ? Was it some OVA like the Trunks and Gohan battle against 17 and 18?
It was in Super when Goku asked Trunks if he encountered Majin Buu in his timeline. It was short in the anime, but the manga expanded.

@@NAzo.trunks only says he defeated dabura and babidi and buu didn't resurrect in the anime, in the manga he mentions shin dying which meant that beerus died and presumably it also happened in the anime, either way black and zamasu killed all the kais to kill the gods so they would've gotten shin if it didn't happen in the anime
@dankerbell Shin and beerus dying made it easier for them, and don't forget that gowasu was killed by zamasu so that's 2 universes with no god of destruction
