How could anyone not love these old Sears garden tractors?!! I love the three that I have. The oldest is a 69 Suburban 12 that my dad bought brand new.
Thank you! Yeah I know it was a little more delayed in posting than I had hoped for but I have been cranking out the tractor projects for Portage this week!
I have what I believe is a 1972 sears 10 xl. I’ve used it a couple times a year for the last six years or so. I used it several weeks ago to mow weeds. Yesterday I went to start it and it has no spark. I took it apart but don’t understand the solid state electrical system and how to test it. Is there any diagrams or testing procedures that you know of online? Any help would be appreciated.
let me tell you, that sears tractor, with the hydro trans, late 60's my dad used the earth blade on the back and built a pond 20 feet deep and about 150 feet diameter while mom and i were gone for two weeks. he drug the dirt out and just kept dumping it to make a dam that went higher and higher. lot of beer was involved
