I am, or maybe, should be, lol. We have to peal the layers away to get at it. Gonna be fun.

I have a 1967 990 Selectamatic, it has what I assume is a DB loader.
Hydraulics are supplied via the tractors own internal pump, which runs the 3 point.
The loader only has the one tilt cylinder in the middle, which makes it very easy to mount anything that fits on the 3 point, fits on the loader.
Very interesting to see the hydraulic pump on yours mounted where the battery is in mine, probably a much beefier unit, but I must say my loader does surprise me with its lifting power. The one tilting cylinder does at times create much less usability, and limits the curl in the bucket, or what ever is on it.
Very nice job on the restore, I had thought about doing a substantial restore on mine, but I really cannot have it out of action that long.

That makes sense, I made a modern, quick attach system for mine. You can convert the bucket over to that system, but I think it's much stronger to leave the bucket as is with the cylinders attached to it. The quick connect can pop off the mount if too much pressure is applied. The Freeman pump is rated at 18 gpm. There is plenty of flow for a 3rd function. Thanks.

If it's got a front mounted pump on the crank shaft that was an optional extra

Yes, the Freeman loader has an independent hydraulic system. DB also had the front mounted pump however some loaders ran off the internal hydraulic system without the front pump. The internal pump delivers 5 or 6 gpm the Freeman pump is rated 18 gpm, quite a difference.

Flash loader all the selectomatics in nz I saw had the begg trip loader with just one valve bank for lifting, the bucket had a wire operating it

They had "trip" bucket loaders here in the US as well. I asked my dad why he picked the Freeman Loader, and he said because it had 2 cylinders on the bucket versus just 1 or none. Thanks for the watching and commenting.

@TECH.274 tractors have came such a long way, my grandfather had a fordson with steel wheels and carted milkcans to the factory with horse. I used to mow school field on a smaller selectomatic every Friday afternoon it was my reward for behavior getting the whole afternoon off class during year 9 and 10. Glad to have met your channel

Hi Brad, it does look a lot different without the loader, but I'm a little bias, great start to the series,
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you,Donna and all the Harris family.

That loader looks all to havey and it almost identical to a Massy loader of the same time.

It is very heavy, with a large bucket. The way they built things in the 60s, independent company that was purchased by Bush Hog in the early 70s. A great loader, with the ability to dig a big hole. The new 1s don't do that. Thanks

@TECH.274 How do you get on with the backwards stop on the engine it always intrigued me why David Brown until Case bought them out they eventually stopped using Case engine with different pumps.
