Spec wise it looked so much better than BM Puukko that was my go-to knife for a long time but that handle... just feels bad. How much can few more ml of rubber cost?
Since you now have two, and you're not a fan of the handle, would you be willing to cut the grip off of one of them so we can see what the tang looks like? I haven't been able to find an image of it yet.
I have big hands. The handle of the Bronco Mini is also too narrow for me. The handle is very similar to the large Bronco. In the summer heat, I tear my hands open on the rubber handles. With the exception of the Mora handles, all the plastic handles on the knives I have used have come loose from the tang at some point. Also from Rokka Knives and the Terävä Jääkäripuukko. I have the Bronco Mini and am curious to see if the handle is better.
LOL ...ending with "this skinny handle ultimately sucks" was pure gold 😂 I hate skinny handles but I did actually warm up to my Tops Brakimo. I think do to the size of the blade the thinner scales make detailed carving easier . I normally would give it a total thumb down but after using it for a few years now I do like the design . If a handle is tall you can get away with a thinner scale design . There are some full tang knives like my Ontario SK5 which feel excellent in my hand. They are flat scales but it just works for that design of knife. Those kind of rubber grips are nasty feeling in my opinion. The only knife I like that style on is the Garberg but the Garbergs edge geometry is crap ....great handle shape, though .
Very much agreed with having a tall handle, I think that's the most important dimension, but this one was still too skinny, it's almost like holding it by the blade hahah

Absolutely! Bushcrafters needs a nice fat handle in my opinion, to absorb shock and reduce hot spots by covering larger surface area
@@stroppystuff641 yup, a nice big fat handle is what I like.

What does 62 HRC get you vs 60 HRC?
Other than they specified a hardness that did not meet their claim.
good vid mate
Thanks Marc :)
Any chance for water to seep inside handle? Causing rust? Like benchmade model?
I think unfortunately this will always be a concern with this type of handle design.
Never buy a boker is what I got to say. Go with Carrothers performance tools delta 3v. The low heat temper. Better everything from 3v.
I would agree however there are a limited number of cpks available, we can't just buy them off the shelves :(
I have a cpk 5" field knife and it's 👌
