The question is; can he be explosive and pass defensive backs?
It said he was 4.45 to 4.55
Yes, he can
Jaylen Waddle, Devonta Smith, and Terrance Marshall
...are all behind Chase
He reminds me of Dez Bryant
Dez bryant cant run routes like chase does lmaooooooo
@@cazlonewolf5544 I'm saying the jump grab ability or high pointing the ball.
Yeah they even run the same tbh, very similar
Curious to see a video like this for your now Heisman winner Devonta Smith
Well, if I was chase coach I would make sure he goes deep on every run lol
Let's just see what year 2 brings
Aj Brown comp for me
Smith needs to be on the track team at LSU to work on his speed.
Hes like an upgraded version of Jarvis Landry...
not even close. Jarvis is a fine slot receiver but Chase has shown an elite ability to win one on one on the outside and as a deep threat.
Welcome to Miami!!!
From your breakdown he seems more like a Juju smith mixed with DeVante Parker...
Here now when clowns are forgetting that Chase made Justin Jefferson a top 5 wr in the nfl, look like a slot receiver in college.
Bengals better draft him Joe telling Mike to get his boy.
I’d rather have Sewell, but Chase is #2. Either protect Joe or give him weapons.
@@petez4608 Sewell probably won't be there. U only draft chase if Sewell isn't there
@@ShinefortheCam for sure
@@ShinefortheCam Sewell was there; Bengals still drafted Chase. Bengals were right. 79 receptions 1429 yards and 13 touchdowns
Welcome to Cinci. (Come back to this comment in April)
Why are you worried about receivers when you need to protect your currently injured rookie qb?
@@onlygodcanjudgeme1137 sewell will probably be gone before 5. If he is the bengals rarely trade back meaning they will go BPA regardless of poaition. Aka smith or chase
I agree. It's too obvious with aj leaving.
Bengals Fans know our teams tendencies lol
Please do Devonta Smith and compare the 2 a little if you can. Because after Smiths season idk which one is actually better anymore.
I think Devonta Smith is defintely better
@@JoeMama10247 definitely better??
@s0ldieralways Said this pre-draft clearly I'm prolly going to be wrong
@@JoeMama10247 nothing wrong with your prediction at the time especially after Smith's Heisman season but i think what people forget is Smith did that as a senior, Chase did it as a true sophmore on a tougher schedule whilst cooking high end talent like AJ Terrell, Trevon Diggs and CJ Henderson along the way
@Josh F-w Yeah true. I would watch Chase and think he didn't get much separation, and got away with PI it seemed like, while Smith just looked so smooth as a route runner. I honestly suck at evaluating football prospects tho, I'll go back to basketball lol
This was a good break down. Chase's game is centered around strength as he's one of the best weight lifters on LSU's team and probably the best pound for pound. I've always said he's an exact blend of Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham as his attributes seem to be right down the middle of the two. A more direct comparison I've heard is Golden Tate. If he can get his 40 time around 4.45 he will be a lock for top 5 but I wouldn't be surprised if he ran in the low 4.5s.
Justin jefferson ran 4.42 odell ran 4.40 chase will run high 4.3
@@ericgarrison3569 I'm not here to argue. Been watching Chase since he was in highschool and speed he's never been a burner. His tape backs up that he's not a burner to the trained eye. He's about a low 4.5 high 4.4. He's working hard to try and get to that 4.45 number but it wouldn't be held against him if he doesn't unless he runs in the 4.6s which is what he ran his freshman year. But I've seen a lot of fans that don't know any better think he runs in the 4.3s and all I'll say is I would be beyond pleasantly surpriseds along with everyone else if he did.
@@charlessmith4487 he runs relaxed so it looks like he's running slow but look at how easily he pulls away from the field. If you really saw him at Rummel you would know this. But he finally got a chance to show it with that first TD against the Chiefs. Straight speed
@@charlessmith4487 has your trained eye come to the realization that Chase is actually faster
@@s0ldieralways you can be goofy if you want. Even Chase admit before he came to college he wasn't that fast and really had to work on his flexibility and got even faster in his training when he sat out the season. This is out of Chase'e mouth and even repeated by his dad in an interview. So while you're trying to check me on what he did in highschool, not even Chase agrees with you. Applaud the man for working on any perceived weakness and turned himself into a monster.
The dude needs to show more separation

Smitty and Waddle are the two best receivers in the Nation! Then Chase.

@@andrewhopoi1364 obvious Bama bias but face it... LSU WRs (Jefferson and Chase) are better than the Bama receivers. Well at least agree with me that Louisiana WRs are better than receivers from Alabama. That's why LSU is not tripping when Bama grabs a Louisiana WR. There's plenty in the state.
@@s0ldieralways You wanna start this up again ha? Now whose going to win the Natty this year? It's because the best players go there! Not everybody can go to Bama, only the best! That means, receivers, rbs, Oline, Dline, qb, dbs, lbs, equal to 7 Nattys in 12 years.

You should rather take Pitts over him
lmao dude get real nobody is taking kyle pitts over jmarr chase in this draft.. i dont know what kind of infatuation you have with the kid but its pretty ridiculous.
@@ronaldwilliams3409 Because Kyle Pitts is the better athlete out of Jamar Chase last time I checked Jamar isn't getting compared to Megatron and last time I checked Jamar can't line up everywhere like Pitts also, Jamar can't catch a ball like Pitts can with multiple guys on him which is why he get compared to Megatron and also last i checked Pitts hss the better intangibles. Lets see what Chase has route running and speed and which Kyle pitts has route running but not faster but still fast and quick. Kyle Pitts has a lot.of stuff over Chase which is why he more talented. That's funny bro
Most of those highlights are actually JOE BURROW highlights. He does have excellent body control, you can see he thinks and moves just a touch faster than most everyone else and has a natural ease and athleticism. Still, it's important to remember that Joe Burrow throwing him the ball made his skills pop in a way that other college players aren't lucky enough to have. He looks really nice, but I wouldn't be surprised if another receiver from the same draft class outperforms him easily in the end
All imma say is that Justin Jeffreson is tearing it up in the NFL right now with Cousins as his QB. Yet wasn’t even the best receiver on LSU. This upcoming draft is loaded with WRs though and I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened.
Lol, people said the same exact thing about Burrow placing the ball in perfect spots when critiquing Jefferson's tape earlier this year. Chase is a DOG, sleep on him if you want.
Same was said about jefferson.. you guys are turning out to be quite the "experts"..lol
Bo J so wrong
a elite wr doesn’t matter if you are a “freakish “ athlete or not 😂
Idk man he might be good but to compare him with Steve Smith... like you said he won't block for the run game. Steve Smith has a motor and some drive to him... that's why he is going to the HOF. This kid learns to block and shows some heart... an not get tired. He should start opposite of Scary Terry. Hopefully he falls that far.
For someone that doesn't block, his rookie highlights includes a blocking sequence
Yea you don't know what you're talking about.
Cmon Washington 🙏🏾
jerry rice ran 4.7 40 . it is not a big deal if your other game is well rounded.
Many people said Rice’s start line to end line was actually 4.4. He just didn’t know how to run the 40 back then. I tend to believe he was a 4.4 guy considering he was never caught from behind until he was in his late 30’s. The slow 40 just adds some “magic” to his legend.
Would you say a pro comp is a poor mans davante adams
PLEASE DO JAYLEN WADDLE OR DEVONTA SMITH
Can you do Devonta Smith next?
I just hope the Eagles draft him .
can you do an update video on devin singletary?
I think Devonta smith>ja’marr but it’s definitely close
Devonta had an amazing year and broke tons of records as a 22 year old. Those records were previously held by chase, who set them at 19, by manhandling every corner. He's grown into his body more, and now he's an elite athlete, which was his biggest knock. Nothing against smith, I love the guy, but chase did the same thing 3 years younger.
@@greghubbard7174 yeah after looking into both players more I do think chase is the Better prospect mainly because I think he will have a easier time adjusting to the physically of NFL DBs
@@dairyproducts2775 definitely. I only saw a few plays where physicality got the best of smith, but when it did he was basically erased from the play. I don't think it'll happen often on the nfl, but it will be more frequent at least
Welcome to Philly.
I wouldn’t say that because the cowboys might try to finesse u for some picks🤷♂️
Y’all experts said Justin Jefferson was slow. 4.5 speed is good enough.
Future Bengal
Probably a future bengal, since we are losing aj green.
I think you need to cut the tape again dude. Ja’marr Chase doesn’t run exceptional routes and doesn’t create good separation. Ja’marr Chase makes his money because he has unbelievable hands and ability to make contested catches. I agree he’s the best WR in the draft but what you’re saying just isn’t accurate you’re literally showing him making contested catches with little separation. Watch tape on Calvin Ridley and Devonta Smith if you wanna see separation people.
like Davante Adams?
That's my comp for him. I think he's a little faster than Adams though.
NY needs a 1 WR. Him and Slayton can potentially be a tandem
