    Right on... we had a guest bathroom that was not used often. The toilet had hard water stains that would not go away. We too used this product, it worked great. Our fear was scratch marking, but that didn't happen. :) thumbs up!

    Hi Ashley. I liked this cleaning video and would love to see more about green cleaning tips! Specifically, I'd love to know how you keep your classroom clean at work without harsh chemicals. As a fellow teacher, I'd love to know what you use to get rid of the nasty germs from the little kiddos in your space. Obviously I'm sure your class has custodial staff too, but most teachers I know also spend a great deal of their time cleaning their space in addition to that.

    • @AshleysConsciousLife
      @AshleysConsciousLife  8 років тому +1

      +StickItOutTillTheEnd Thanks, I'm working on a video to do green cleaning like homemade green cleaners compared to store bought which I will eventually get posted. We also have something in my classroom called an "ionator" I can't recall the exact name of it now but it just uses plain water and "ionates" it and that supposedly helps get rid of germs and bacteria, no chemicals needed. That's about all I do right now though. ( :

  • @Lemonz1989
    @Lemonz1989 7 років тому +3

    It's really effective, but it does cause small scratches in the enamel of the toilet, making it more prone to collecting hard water stains faster than it normally would. :)
    It''s no problem if you're willing to use the stone in the future. It's more of a problem if you use it for a period of time and then want to use some acidic solution to remove the calcium deposits later. You need more of the solution than you would otherwise need.

      +kaleidoscopicmind5 My husband works in construction and a plumber friend mentioned it to him that they had used it and were all done with it, so he passed it on to us. Eventually when they are older we'll switch it out to a regular toilet. ( :

    It's so funny you're posting this video today right after I have tried really hard to get some nasty stains off of my own toilet and failed spectacularly. I've tried everything from coke to vinegar to baking soda.

    So what do you do with the stone between uses? How do you disinfect it and store it? Dump vinegar on it, wait for it to dry, and keep it with your cleaners? Or does it only last through one cleaning session?
