oh damnnnn, if i knew you were gonna do Destiny 2 OSTs id have given you some top choices, two of my favourite OSTs from Destiny 2 are "Oneirophobia" and "The First Disciple". Deep Stone Lullaby had me absolutely gobsmacked when i first heard it, iimagine this, you're playing the game, on one of the hardest missions, going around inside of a space station, killing bad guys, loud chaos and noise everywhere, but then, in order to continue, you must go outside of the space station and walk on the outside of it to reach the next area, thats where this OST comes in. as soon as those doors open to the outside, you are greeted with muffled audio around you, and this song as you go out on a space walk to the next zone, ask anyone who did this mission on Day 1 and they'll tell you just how incredible that first space walk was, truly one of the best moments in the games history😊
also i agree that the feeling of intensity is in this OST, during the space walk, the space stations AI is giving you a intense speech about the consequences of your actions on this day
Give Monster Hunter OST's a go! they have some of the most AMAZING music! id recomend "Fatalis's Theme" ua-cam.com/video/YTtJhniVaYA/v-deo.htmlsi=aeS39DlVmbtbT6zm
You have to appreciate that the first time players heard this music wàs during a spacewalk sequence following one of the (at the time) longest and toughest boss encounters the game had ever produced. The calmness of empty space with the haunting notes of this track were an incredible experience for those who made it that far in the raid.
@@GOTGames There are full clear videos of the raid on UA-cam but you wouldn't get the same feeling of relief and excitement for the next area as you do playing it. But I do find the combination of soft piano, light synth effects and deep orchestral notes work so well together on the track. Glad you listened and appreciated it but D2 would take some heavy time investment (like most games) if you want to take part in any of the raids.
Couldn’t have explained it any better man. I wish I could go back for the first time again. Such a magical moment and emotional song. What a beautiful moment we all got to share.
@@ravindavinthescandinavian4998 Bow to No One is equal this one in my eyes. It's stuck with me since I first heard it in D1, like this one will stick with me.
Love that your finally getting around to a Destiny track. This one is strange cause it's such a departure from the rest of the game's music, which is what makes it so impactful when you actually hear it in game. I would love to watch you react to more destiny tracks. Like Oneirophobia (Action), Underworld, The First Disciple, The Arboretum, and A Traitor to the Empire. Oh and obviously Athanasia, another track from the same activity as Deep Stone Lullaby that I think I prefer.
For those interested Deep Stone Lullaby is a section of the raid activity known as Deep Stone Crypt. You start off on the moon of Europa and launch yourself onto an orbiting station. This song happens when you go outside of the station and have to maneuver around the outside in open space and is one of the best moments in the game. It’s a nice break in the raid between encounters leading up to the big final boss. Definitely suggest looking up the song and watching a video of the space walk section. It’s truly amazing.
Dude, why would you spoil it? Just tell people they should get someone to teach them the raid. I know it's old at this point but it's a WAY better experience going in blind.
@@Capt_Dango because this isn’t a Destiny channel and as such I assume many viewers would like context on the song which amplifies it in my opinion. Also even as a Destiny fan I know lots of people aren’t going to want to go into a raid, so I explained simply that portion of it, not any of the bigger details.
Remember my first time going through the raid and getting to this point, what a beautiful moment in the middle of an action packed murder fest! Destiny has a LOT of great music you should hear. Completely different genre but Jet Set Radio future also has an amazing OST you should listen to.
Some of the really good intense/action OSTs from Destiny are usually the raid boss OSTs My favourite ones are: The First Disciple Oneirophobia Look Within (This one comes from the same raid as deep stone lullaby so it has similar vibes)
Quite ironic seeing this reaction video, because Bungie just laid off two composers: Michael Salvatori and Michael Sechrist. Sechrist is the composer of Deep Stone Lullaby.
Destiny has had its share of problems over the years but it's possibly the most invested I've ever been in a video game. I absolutely love being a part of the ongoing story that keeps giving me a reason to come back to the game on top of the gunplay being some of the best any shooter has ever had. The action section of Acceptance is also one of my all time favorite Destiny songs (from the Beyond Light expansion OST, same as Deep Stone Lullaby). The song for the Grasp of Avarice dungeon is also excellent
I'd love to see your reaction to the Grasp of Avarice OST from the Bungie 30th anniversary pack in Destiny 2. Along with Deep Stone Lullaby, it's one of my favorite tracks of Destiny music
It's tradition that whenever the fireteam comes to this point in the raid all comms go silent and we all play through this section with the music up. This is especially true if a member of the team is experiencing it for the first time, we let them have that moment.
This piece is one of my favorite Destiny tracks and I love how it tells a story. The song has 3 elements: the piano, which imo, represents the human host, the synths (an electronic piano), representing the newborn EXO and then we have the strings (something pianos are made of), representing the Light. It perfectly explains how EXOs are created and the way the strings overwhelm the other instruments, almost making you bask in the Light. Is almost like the Traveler saying, "don't worry, I got you, sleep now". Its freaking beautiful!
The most memorable ost from Destiny 2 is "Shell of what was". It's the song that plays during the final section of the Last Wish raid, the queenswalk theme. It's singularly the most epic action theme that just keeps you hyped from start to finish.
I just played this raid for the first time. Coming out of the airlock and stepping into space with this score was breathtaking. I’ve never had a game have that effect on me before. I ended up downloading it a listening to it in truck. The bass really sends it home and adds to the emotions. I thought of life and death, the beginning of a journey and the end of another. How vast the universe is and how the tiniest things matter. And no matter bad things seem it will all be ok. Well done Bungie.
Destiny has some of the best music in Video Games, one of my personal favorite is "First Disciple". Easily one of the top 5 tracks imo, up there with "Regicide".
Random OST suggestions: Game: Persona 5 - "With the Stars and Us" FFX - Suteki da Ne Warframe - "This is What You Are" Anime: Cowboy Bebop - "The Real Folk Blues" The Irregular at Magic High School - "Code Break" Bleach - "On the Precipice of Defeat"
You need context with it. Day one you’ve just come out of the hardest encounter the raid has. It ended teams runs. It chaotic and fast paced. You come out of an airlock into space, planet below, and it’s the perfect decompression. No one talks during this. I hope you get to experience it because without the visuals you’re missing so much.
*Day 96* of requesting a reaction to the following openings: *Chivalry of a Failed Knight* op *Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress* op *Kiznaiver* op You could make a multiple op reaction for this. Thank you!
“It sounds happy” and an element of hope” wait until he learns what the song symbolizes and what this part of the raid exposed about Clovis & the Exos. It’s one of the darkest parts of Destiny lore.
It's funny you mentioned Halo when talking about this OST, because Michael Salvatori, the one who composes a lot of Destiny music, was also responsible for THE Halo theme.
Destiny has a LOT of Bangers - but this Song. This Song played at the perfect moment. It's already a masterpiece on it's own, but where it plays and Clovis dialogue in the background? Peak Destiny 2. Regardless of what you think of the game, or the raid itself....You will be hard pressed to find anyone bad mouthing this particular piece
there’s a lot of rlly good Boss themes from Destiny like Regicide, The First Disciple, and Oneirophobia. just to name a few tracks. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND listening to the full in-game version of Oneirophobia posted by Promethean. the official version posted by Bungie is missing a lot of really hype/good chunks of the track. the full version is just around 7-8 minutes long. i also recommend checking out the main track/theme for each Destiny expansion. I personally like Beyond Light’s main track (which is just called Beyond Light. same idea for all the other expansion’s main themes), but there’s plenty of others that sound rlly good or are just as nostalgic for those long-time players.
Not sure if you have played Bioshock before, but would you kindly react to Cohen's Masterpiece or Welcome to Rapture for a video game OST. Also, recruiting people for tomorrows twitch OP vote and Sunday's anime tournament. Let's get March Comes in Like a Lion for the OP vote and Bookworm for the anime tournament.
*Day 166* of recommending the *Beyblade openings* . There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out.
