It is obvious that neither of you could do this channel without the other. Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Gee. So I give another round of applause to our uncle and auntie photographer. This video made my day.
You didn't set out to record a tutorial, Gary, but I really enjoyed it and learnt a lot. Those of us who are less experienced photographers really appreciate it when you go through step by step on how to achieve an image. Obviously you can't do it all of the time but every now and then would be fantastic.
Mrs G Causing havoc! Plain to see your both having fun down at the local hide. Local lockdown photography is making us all think creatively about different skills to practice. A little birding is a cracking idea! :)
What a brilliant very light hearted video. It was nice to see Mrs G in the video with her funny banter. Great images of the birds. Look forward to the next episode.
Great vlog Gary - informative but funny - you got your message across well - despite the attempted sabotage!! Ha ha!! Thanks Gary - you two stay safe :-)) P.
Great video Gary nice to see the wife or should I say the boss. That’s where I cut my teeth wildlife a photography with a Nikon F3 film camera used to cost me a fortune 36 exposures if you was lucky to good pictures how times have changed now you can take 400 peaches doesn’t cost you anything unless you print them only the ones you want. Are used to go round the Woodlands find old logs with moss all over them take them home drill some holes in them Squeeze fat balls into the holes attach it to my birdfeeder and wait patiently haven’t done that for years seeing you out there doing this has inspired me to have another go once again thank you very entertaining as always
that was excellent, I really didn't think I would get much from a bird based video, birds schmirds, but, I learned some things and enjoyed the process while doing so. Thanks Gary for that, great stuff.
Brilliant video just the tonic for lockdown. New to photography and loved the tips, even brought a bird feeder or two this weekend to try and get some wildlife shots. Thanks and much appreciated from rural Lincolnshire- Don’t worry I shall like and subscribe :)
Hi Gary - you're so right about 'chimpin'; I actually switched my review time off in the menu so it does not flash up after every photo and yes, it has made a big difference!!
After the waterfall tutorial video it was clear I needed to subscribe, but this one was funny as well! Thank you for the vids, I now have lots to watch...
thanks for that, on a dull cold evening that's put a big smile on my face, and good tips, didn't know you could let the ISO float in manual, i have been using Canon DSLR's for the best part of 20 years and i have learnt something new !
Thank you Gary I'm new to photography and found this very helpful . Thanks for the tips. It was also fun seeing you and Mrs G having fun just whats needed in these dark times 👍
That was really good, informative and a reminder this great place is on my doorstep. Thanks. If food is placed in the holes of the branch then the birds stay around longer getting the food out, plus its out of sight too.(When there is no snow to hide it behind of course)
Hi Gary, great video as always. I cannot agree more about not looking at the display every time you take a photo of a bird - I see it all the time when I'm in a hide or at a reserve and the number of times the person behind the camera actually misses a shot because they're looking back at what they've just taken is unbelievable! I'm at the point where I NEVER look at what I've taken until I get home and upload all the images onto the computer, but I truly think I'm in a minority of people who do this! And on top of that, it's actually something I really look forward to doing because I don't already know what images I've captured before I get home - that's quite exciting. So I just want to concur with what you recommend - apart from taking a couple of test shots at the start of the session, leave to display part of the camera alone, you'll get more successful bird shots if you do!
Great video Gary, I just purchase a Tamron 150-600mm for my Canon 5D Mark II to take more wildlife photos. We have 10 acres and a lot of wildlife that visit through out the day. This video has made me want to do more wildlife photos! Take care!
Hello Gary, I really like your videos, the joy with which you make the videos, I love your fantastic photos, I've been following you for a few months, since I discovered you here on UA-cam, Thank you. A hug from Portugal.
great vid mate!! Ive always loved photographing birds! longer the lens the better.. Its only in photography circles i can admit that haha.. gutted mrs G's pics didn't feature! or were all those bangers her shots?! haha
Gary, you're fired, stick Paula infront of the lens, :P very true about chasing the birds about, i was hunting the green woodpecker all over the cemetery where i see it, gave up for a bit and had a sandwich and the bloody sod landed right infront of me. Great vid, i'm more of a wildlife smudger than landscape
been down there few time, defiantly like taking pics of the birds down there. such a peaceful place. well when the young ones are not with me lol. thanks for the advice Gary & have a good week. cracking images.
What a lovely lady Mrs G. What are you waiting to get her a camera? Also, loved the tutorial on bird photography settings as it’s always a confusing topic and everyone seems to have different settings. Having a different topic to the fine art was very refreshing! Thanks
That was a terrific video, I really enjoyed it. It’s something I’m looking to try since I can’t really walk about with my camera as I used to. Your enjoyment really shone through. Big thumbs up! 👍
Great tips for us beginners, will give this a go. Unfortunately can’t do it at home as we have two moggies but will certainly try to find a spot local that ticks the boxes. Ever thought of buying the wife a camera or is the thought of competition too much 🤔 😄
What I've started to do when out early mornings is set my manually set me aperture and shutter but have Auto ISO. Here we have Bald Eagles so they can come down from brighter areas into shaded areas I have the range covered.
I love your videos and your photos, and thank you for all the wonderful tips. My question is how do you warm up your camera and lens when you come in out of the cold?
What a fantastic vlog mate, great info and as we just had fresh snow today, I’m off to co-op to buy some seeds and let’s see what I can get. Only got my trusty 200 f4 but can super 35 it and play at 300mm. Cheers bud! Jase
Probably not as important for a public location but l turn off the focus beep and use silent shutter to avoid startling the birds/wildlife when out specifically photographing birds/animals. Love the channel and cannot wait for covid restrictions to end.
Nice video. For action photography such as wildlife, I would recommend setting the AF-On button to focus only and the Shutter release button to shutter release only (i.e. back button focusing).
Morten Hilmer has his eye on you 🤨 Also, I hope you appreciate having a patient wife. My missus would’ve went back to the car muttering after half an hour.
I like your style Gary, I like you, don't like to show birds at feeders and often use back button focus, my biggest problem is attracting different birds, despite a variety of foods. thanks for your interesting videos.
It is obvious that neither of you could do this channel without the other. Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Gee. So I give another round of applause to our uncle and auntie photographer. This video made my day.
Very kind of you to say, you made her smile 👍👍
Liked the light hearted style of this vlog. Just what we need more of at the moment. Photos great too .
Thanks Mike 👍👍
So very beautiful nature, great snow thanks for this
Thank you 👍👍
Another great Video, I think Mrs G is a blast.

Great variety of birds Gary and nice to see your wife enjoying Photography with you, Hope she didn't get to cold. Loving her giggle laugh
Glad you enjoyed it
Great stuff, love the addition of Paula, she knocks the seriousness out of it.
Nice to see both of you enjoying yourself and you caught a Bullfinch too ,i have only caught 2 on camera.

Great Vlog, brilliant down to earth introduction to wildlife photography, thanks for the advice and tuition,
Cheers Tony
Aye this one made me smile, thanks for all the tips especially "Stop fannying around and take pictures" Mrs G has a future in film I think
I think it's about time you got paula her own camera . great show by the way!!!!!
She's a photographer at the studio too 😁😁
Loved the video Gary nice change for you, loved your misses(Paula)being there showed a lovely couple enjoying themselves.
Wildlife is my main bag, and even though you don't do this genre very often you nailed it
Cheers Paul 👍👍
Thank you Gary , your video are so relaxing and inspiring....
I think Mrs G should appear more often. In these awful times, we all need a bit of fun and light-hearted entertainment
There's a reason why I'm a Landscape Photographer Hillary 😁😁
that's naughty
Love the birding photography and the cute squirrel. Really enjoyed this
Mrs G is a natural, another vote for you to feature her more often 😀
Enjoyed that Gary, even though I'm only an opportunist wildlife photographer. Some great captures.
Cheers David 👍👍
Great show & great tips...felt like I was there with you ... except I was warm & toasty !
Señor Gary. Un video precioso.
You never fail to amaze. I watch you go places that appear bland and you always come back with images I really like. Fun video, thank you.
A really good entertaining video, nice to see your better half enjoying herself, plus good points on 'Bird' photography.
More Mrs G please! What a great double act. Great advice too Gary along with beautiful images
Lovely time watching you two
Cheers 😁😁

Cheers Andy 👍👍
Planning my trip to Cromwell Bottom as we speak!
that was excellent, I really didn't think I would get much from a bird based video, birds schmirds, but, I learned some things and enjoyed the process while doing so. Thanks Gary for that, great stuff.
Glad you enjoyed it. Cheers 👍👍
Great vLog Gary , images are brilliant and so are Paula's. better watch out Gary you may have a rival in the back ground
Great Gary, Buy the mrs a camera or are you afraid of being shown up. Looking forward to Mrs G's channel :-)
So much fun!! Good morning from Canada 🇨🇦 where it’s minus 33c🥶
Always enjoy your videos. They are always entertaining and instructional. Keep up the good work. Hi to Paula too.
Nice one Gary treat the back of the camera like the old Film days old school cheers Matt
This was good. Nice to see Mrs. G
Thanks Susan 👍👍
Brilliant video just the tonic for lockdown. New to photography and loved the tips, even brought a bird feeder or two this weekend to try and get some wildlife shots. Thanks and much appreciated from rural Lincolnshire- Don’t worry I shall like and subscribe :)
Very kind Rich 👍👍
Gary, Great vlog, great words of wisdom and as for Mrs G she is a keeper and you know it. Keep the vlogs coming as the content is cracking.👍
Thanks, Gary. Very enjoyable.
Good video and excellent photos again.
Cheers Stephen 👍👍
Nice change of place Gary. Paula’s pics were great.
Her pictures are always great Scott :)
The robin is saying "there is a huge big red breasted Robin behind that fence ... he must have got all the birdseeds"
Hi Gary - you're so right about 'chimpin'; I actually switched my review time off in the menu so it does not flash up after every photo and yes, it has made a big difference!!
Thanks for sharing made me want to get out and take a few bird photos.
Cheers 👍👍
Great photos of the birds. I generally take photos of birds in my garden which is quite challenging at times as they do not pose for me!!
Nice shots Mrs G!
Thanks! 😊
Gary - absolutely brilliant - definitely some tips I can benefit from
Very enjoyable Gary that's what photography is all about enjoy. Rodders. I think morten would have enjoyed that.
lol It might have made him smile a little :)
Great flog Gary what fun you had !!!
Thanks Martin 👍👍
After the waterfall tutorial video it was clear I needed to subscribe, but this one was funny as well! Thank you for the vids, I now have lots to watch...
thanks for that, on a dull cold evening that's put a big smile on my face, and good tips, didn't know you could let the ISO float in manual, i have been using Canon DSLR's for the best part of 20 years and i have learnt something new !
Tv setting on my 6D seems to be the only one that lets ISO float. In Manual it is always the Speed that floats. I haven't found a way to change this.
Thank you Gary I'm new to photography and found this very helpful . Thanks for the tips. It was also fun seeing you and Mrs G having fun just whats needed in these dark times 👍
Very enjoyable and nice to see Paula get a spot! I’d like to share a top tip with you......Have some fat balls, the birds go wild for them!
Yeah, they seem to hate my peanuts. Are we talking about the same thing? 😁😁
Nice video Gary. Stunning nuthatch image too
Great fun ... more Paula in future videos please.
Really enjoyed this video. I think I need to visit this reserve, it looks like you saw more birds up close there than I ever do around here!
That was really good, informative and a reminder this great place is on my doorstep. Thanks. If food is placed in the holes of the branch then the birds stay around longer getting the food out, plus its out of sight too.(When there is no snow to hide it behind of course)
Really enjoyed that Gary, something a bit different! And enjoyed the cameo from Paula! All the best!
Are you applying Andy? 😁😁
@@GaryGough lol! Not sure what I would be applying for Gary! 😁
The Robin at 17.53 WOW 👍

David Attenborough could use some of your knowledge about birds 😅
Great vlog as always, thank you Gary 👍
lol They're either green, brown or black 😁😁
Great job mate, funny thing Lisa and I did the same thing yesterday, was a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing. Fantastic images Paula!

Great Vlog Gary and shots
great video thanks Gary!
Very welcome, cheers Ben 👍👍
Gary - I watched your video yesterday (2/08/21) and I've been trying your advice on shooting in M with ISO in A... thanks so much for this tip...
Great tips! Love your videos all the way over here in the U.S.A!! Love the wife in this video!! She needs to make more appearances!

Nice video. For action photography such as wildlife, I would recommend setting the AF-On button to focus only and the Shutter release button to shutter release only (i.e. back button focusing).
Very nice video and love the images. I think the wife needs her own camera system to go out for some birds lol!!
Great video Mr. Gough!
Also, you need your Wife in more of your vlogs. She is of good spirit!
Thank you,
Steve
You made her smile, cheers Steve 👍👍
