Before Jello was a thing the word Jello didn't exist . Now all we need is an actual paint that changes from yellow to Green depending on what angle you're looking at it from . Grellow could become the number one paint , who knows 😂
Love the carbon floors. I've been wondering why you never see people replace sections of their chassis with carbon to save weight. Looks like you can bond it to steel just fine. So I guess it's almost completely a cost & experience thing.
I'm playing catch up on you videos and the build looks great....but please consider heavy aluminum plate below the batteries. THERMAL RUNAWAY IS NO JOKE! All it takes is a nail to puncture the floor and your car will burn so hot it will melt the tarmac.🔥 Hopefully you can get out of the car in 5 seconds or your toast too.🥵
Hell yes. I like how you guys are putting this series together with the little flash forward sneak peeks when you're starting the first step of something and are explaining how something will turn out.
The comment came off wrong cause I sometimes lack tact & forget that it may not read as well as it sounds in my head. Love the content, the 2 strips of plywood didn't look comfortable & made me wonder if you ever considered developing a carbon fiber Street Bandito creeper?
Get you a sheet of blue foam insulation and cut it in half. Use that to lay on instead of the concrete. You will be happier. Even your future grandkids will be happier.
Hey, what's the community have to do to get STEEL-IT on this project? Project is flying by, you guys are making it look easy, crushing it! By the way, any thoughts on trying out doing carbon wheels? Or is that a more engineered process?
Tim @streetbandito can I get your honest opinion on how Lord fusor t23 adhesive would compare? I use it on the Indecent 997s we build here in the states and after someone has crashed into our shop car, can confirm that shit is strong. Stronger than I was expecting for the fiberglass panels we bond onto our cars. There's not much info on this stuff out in the market from a comparison perspective so would love to try and do that for our own benefit.
I spent several years drilling CFRP on the 787 and we used a drill bit called a dreamer that made drilling holes with out the heat and blowout issues you can encounter with standard bits ,worth trying out .
Can u please make an update on the full carbon 240z. I remember u were gonna make a wing for it last time and u wanted to use it for time attack besides that we are kinda left on a cliff hanger with what gonna come with that
Would probably be a good idea to make some holes in the flooring that stick outs into the engine bay if arent going to completley cover it. Water will settle there, would be a good ide to give it somewhere to go.
So your telling me that the small, maybe, 1/4 inch wide strips on each side of the flat piece is going to have enough of a bond to hold up the weight of multiple batteries?
3M spent millions of dollars developing that mixture tube you don't gotta squirt any extra before it comes out even if it's Valvoline brand etc they all copied it
The effort, engineering and the styling will be, but not the tech sadly. This reminds me of the tim Allen ev build. 😐 Would've been so cool 3-5 year's ago. Now it's older tech cell wise and motor wise.
Man, I am so stoked for this... Definitely my favourite UA-cam build this year! Loving how fast you guys are cranking out the videos too ❤ If I'm thinking about you've probably already thought about it; but what's the plan for the exposed edges of the foam-core floor? I'm guessing it's just some epoxy smooged around the edges to seal it up?
You guys need a rotisserie. Floor work is only gonna last a few more years until the back starts aching. Just some advice from someone who didn't figure this out early on and suffers from it later. Eyes and your back. The most vital things.
Love this. Do you find it daunting to look at the car tore apart and demotivated by it? It’s something I struggle with even when I’m close to being done with my boosted rx8
YES, loving the consistency!!!😍
Looks to be a really solid base for the build, can't wait to see the body panel fab!
when that time come just know it’s crazy work, talk about progression.
Grellow is a color now
😂
Before Jello was a thing the word Jello didn't exist . Now all we need is an actual paint that changes from yellow to Green depending on what angle you're looking at it from . Grellow could become the number one paint , who knows 😂
lmao thank you! say it louder so we get tim to start using it as a color.
look at us, who would’ve thought lol. if they create this color one day remember who said it first.
👌🏻
Welcome, brother. ✊ All is well?
Aye!
my guy!!!! mr no hairs is first
@@StreetBandito I did a doubletake 🤣
So dope to see regular episodes and the progress on this car!
I'd would badge the car 240v when its complete
You're looking swole Tim, you been hitting the weights?
Love the carbon floors. I've been wondering why you never see people replace sections of their chassis with carbon to save weight. Looks like you can bond it to steel just fine. So I guess it's almost completely a cost & experience thing.
Yes definitely cost…especially if you have to hire some one to do it for you…
Glad you guys are back uploading regularly!
this is going to be one crazy ev swap. I wish i had the budget for a carbon battery floor like that!
Wait is tim wearing stoggles??? I see he is a man of class and style
😂 making safety cool

why not call it the 240ez
Hell yes. I like how you guys are putting this series together with the little flash forward sneak peeks when you're starting the first step of something and are explaining how something will turn out.
got another sneak peak in todays video stay tuned
those Volt packs are SO heavy (and bulky), did you investigate the LG Chem cells from the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrids?
Noted:
Flatfloot: 3K-6K-12K-Foam Core-12K-6K-3K
Floorpan: 6x3K Prepeg
I like how Tim went Hank Hill when he said "We're building floors!" #Itellyawhat
He went full Texas on this one :>
lmao all we need is a damn it bobby moment 😂
The comment came off wrong cause I sometimes lack tact & forget that it may not read as well as it sounds in my head.

Have you thought about naming the car? Play on words with easy into E Z(electric Z). Not_EZ haha

Great videos guys I really like your cleanliness on your builds. The details are clearly where your attention is.🤙🏾
Watching this convinces me I could do it, but then I realize, Tim is just a master making it look easy. Loving the series!
lmao tim gets me everytime. i always think the same until i give a hand with the work and im like oh boy this is actually difficult
Oh yeah 👍
#nohairs
God fucking damn dude that is a dream build
haha hell yea i’m happy you like
Timmy boy all tatted up now 🦾
he trying catch up to you lol.
ha! more lowlife and less hightech@@StreetBandito
How many drivetrains has this shell gone through by now? This one is is probably going to be the best. one of the bunch.
Excellent, keep em coming!!!
Again, nice work. Smooth.
and precise 👌🏽
You look cool, but please wear eye protection while working with angle grinder.
western world really appreciate 240z compare to others model..
Amazing work as always guys can I suggest that you invest in a rotisserie to make future work easier on your joints
Been here since Tim only had like one tattoo.
It’s like every episode there’s a new one lmao
lmao the additions just never stop. next up he will get a head tattoo 👀
@@StreetBandito Neck tat or bust
真的是太棒了 🎉🎉🎉
You really do have to build the car around the batteries for a Tesla swap
Watching this, wondering why the car isnt in a chassis rotisserie...
For carbon drilling use carbide dagger/dreamer bits.
20 minutes video to install one floor pan come on guys 😂

I mainly ask bc t23 is almost as expensive as the ns420. We spend over $1200 on one build. T23 is about $80 per bottle and they are small.
What’s the status of the Model T build?
Nice to see regular updates again 😊
Where do you recommend getting hard carbon sheet for door interior panels (door. Kick etc.)
Had Some Doubt About that floor, But after watching the rest of this video it Diffidently looks Extremely Strong!
I spent several years drilling CFRP on the 787 and we used a drill bit called a dreamer that made drilling holes with out the heat and blowout issues you can encounter with standard bits ,worth trying out .
I had to pause and come back ... I now here the jazz in the background , the clamp squeak adds a nice touch. Sweet build.
hope there will be an option for others to buy these
Man, these videos get me HYPE !

Best car channel on YT, full stop.
Badass carbon fiber. We could make the lightest travel trailer!
Damn yall are really pumping these videos out! Love to see it! Looking forward to seeing this thing drive!
Sick project!! EV power is so fun! Torque babyyyyy
1:52 😏 🤣 thanks for the new vid, great work
lmao 😅
Y’all are killing it 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
looks awesome. With all that you have cut out and added in, is there any additional rigidity pieces you would have to add in?
Fe32?
And we have floor 🎉
So your telling me that the small, maybe, 1/4 inch wide strips on each side of the flat piece is going to have enough of a bond to hold up the weight of multiple batteries?
Metal cross members were welded underneath ;)
aye will, did you know there is metal beams welded across the bottom? 👀
Wonderful
The design work and look of the car is just amazing!
It's nice just sliding back into the SB groove. Nice tunes, nice vibes, well put together video X
ayee thank you 🖤
Is it me or does it feel like there’s a haze on the lens?
It's either the lighting, lack of color grading or color grading of the footage.
3M spent millions of dollars developing that mixture tube you don't gotta squirt any extra before it comes out even if it's Valvoline brand etc they all copied it
It's like watching my questions come to life! Loving the series, thank you guys!
hell yea lol. i’m glad you’re still around tuned in. much love 🙏🏽
Say. Yall got a video on restoring carbon?
restoring in which way? i did a quick video on repairing some carbon fiber mirrors a while back.
@@StreetBandito i dmed mr.Thicks about it and showed him some pictures the legend said sand it and clear coat 🫡
is Will like 7ft tall??
lmao one would think as short as we are 😂
Should have called Lega Z
ooo i like the play on words
Cool project! 🚗
What's the retail on one of those premade panels?
carbon or steel? we got the steel one from kf vintage and carbon not sure but i think once the project is done tim will sell some
The foam core one. Ive seen some with honey comb core and they're crazy expensive
I have so many questions! Can my Z be next? 😅
😅
Bandito type shit 🔥🔥🔥 We back
yesirrrrr!!!!
Love that "so it's water tight kinda" true hot rodding stuff right there. 👍🏻😀
only way to find out is when it rains now lol
This gotta be one of the most epic projects on youtube right now
This thing is gonna be sick!

@@StreetBandito 🤙
Wow! This is a tremendous transformation into a vehicle of the FUTURE🚀!!!
why not sandblast whole chasis to remove all rust and have clean surface to work?
why not use a simple acid, chemical treatment, of, with all metal => much simpler, more effective, complete, less destruction.
time constraints my young padawands. we are set on making sema and time is of the essence lol.
@@StreetBandito Actually chemical acid is also more efficient in time.

Love this. Do you find it daunting to look at the car tore apart and demotivated by it? It’s something I struggle with even when I’m close to being done with my boosted rx8
always remember a little work is better than no work being done. small steps and progression is key.
I skipped ahead and landed at 17:02. Wasn’t sure what was going on.. thought he was putting something else on the car..
😂😅
It’s a Nissan 260 NOT A 280 and not a 240…
Love the elevator music
I wish the color grading could have been a bit better , a bit more oomph a pop , a bit more contrast would have been nice
todays video will be better lol.
