How medal event is judged:
1 heat of 8 athletes in a 30-minute jam session taking as many runs as time permits. Best 3 runs per athlete are scored & the best 2 count. Judges will score competitors throughout the contest.

I really hope Anna Gasser is ok. That slam was one of the hardest I have ever seen. And of course, congratulations to Kokomo. That was a genuinely unbelievable performance.

I saw this comment at 27 mins in. Now I'm like, oh no....
Gasser then missed her last attempt, but was later able to smile from the podium in third place behind the Japanese Kokomo Murase and Reira Iwabuchi.

the 3rd attempt was the fall and she skipped the 4th attempt!
luckily she was on the podium at the award ceremony and could laugh again!!!
by the way: my parents' house is in the same street as Anna's parents. i grew up with her and am incredibly proud of her and what she has achieved so far in her career!
luckily nothing more happened to her - that was by far one of the worst falls i have ever seen!!!

I still need to watch women’s snowboard slopestyle, and all their ski events but I will say right now women are catching up to the men in snowboard big air AND skateboard street as I noticed last summer. Absolutely love to see it as a man. It’s really impressive to say the least!
Always rooting for Reira but ooohwee could see from the get go Kokomo was on it and it was indeed her night through and through. Can’t believe she nearly pulled that 16! So excited for next winter even though I do slightly prefer the summer games. Thanks XGames for always providing streams and just for putting on these events every year. Cool having Torah Bright on the mic with the crew as well 🔥 Lastly, PLEASE KEEP SCOTTY CRANMER FOR THE BMX STUFF TOO he is fantastic on the 🎤 as well

I don't think it's very easy as a viewer to see how bad it was, but Annika's crash was really really scary. It's one thing to catch an edge or come up a bit short on your rotation (not like those can't be scary too though), but it's another to come out of your spin halfway through it and basically fall the rest of the way through the air straight on to your back. Like, just imagine falling 20 feet on to hard-packed snow and landing the way she did.
I broke my back yard-sailing off a mogul to the bottom of a roller and landing on my spine in almost that exact same way she did.

Ususally I don`t watch womens snowboard much, but this was awesome!
I love the format with the style and L/R spins. (butI think style should be rewarded more)
And the girls were really throwing down! So impressed! And Kokomo was really fun to watch all week!
