I decided to call it a day after the second chain loss. Or was it the third slide off into the weeds? Oddly, my Strava lap time for the one lap, which paused during my stops, was not bad at all!
I really Enjoy your videos. I could call myself the same name, but 70 years old. I did the novice race in 2023, the muck... I officially beat 2 riders, but many didn't finish the second lap. I hope I never ride in mud again! I live on Archer across from the Palos triangle. Hope to meet you someday. Maybe you should have some shirts made with your Mediocre logo, and do all the videos with the same "look".
So glad that I wasn't there this year)) I was fed enough with mud last year))
Awesome racing btw! An great video as always!
That was a messy fun race. Great edit!
Great recap!
I did it rigid/SS, too, and passed a lot of folks loosing their drivetrains on the second lap. 16th, I felt pretty good about that.
Every year I feel like I'm prepared, then the race proves I'm not. Lolol
I was so much in racing shape - in the spring! Then laziness and injury crept in. 🤷♂️
Glad I picked my bike by which tires were mounted to handle that mud

Gnarly conditions. Way to keep the rubber side down!

That mud was brutal and climbing Grass Hill was also exhausting!
Oh. and I do have shirts at my merch shop - which I have a few of. 😀

My bike still isn’t clean and still hasn’t been ridden…
