What to look for as far as specifications when buying a new AVR?
My generator is 6kw and surge is 6.8kw. There is no rating for kw on the replacement AVR I'm looking to put in is 450v-680uF(M) or 250v-470uF(M). Is there a way to determine kw of these numbers?
My first impression to the cause of this is that the customer may have ran this generator from the first use without oil in the engine.
I Presume the constant shorting of oil caused it

Mr benco,my generator doesn't smoke ,and runs smoothly,but i have to top the oil withing two weeks,its runs almost 3hours perday approximately, is this normal,i think the engine oil should last longer than that right?
hi sir my sumec firman SPG1800 the crank case/Block is already wide so oil get into the plug i want to know if it is possible to take all the component in it and put it in a new crank case

Hi from the Philippines - newbie to generator engines. I've got a 6kVA diesel that is due it's first oil change and tappet adjustment and I have hunted high and low for the valve clearances, to no avail. I've seen similar gens that recommend 0.004 to 0.006 inches (0.1 to 0.15mm) - is this a good ballpark figure? I'm curious that you got that engine sounding sweet without using feeler gauges - what's the secret?? I've got a cheap 4kVA gas gen coming this week because it's very quiet and ideal for night time use - we get a lot of outages here - which is why I have subscribed to your channel, there is simply no-one to do repairs where I live, except me. Cheers.
