    This is the old school G FARMER doing the classic and it doesn't get much better!!!!! I was pretty sure that CHIHIROS light was not the right choice , but it would be great to use in the future low tech Riparium for the much needed supplemental lighting some Pothos , Lilly ,Monstera and Bacopa Monneiri , Bolbitus H. Corymbosa etc.

    Very cool scape George! I’m really loving nanos lately! I saw how you transported that! I’m going to be moving soon and it’ll be about a 12 hour drive. I’d rather not break down my whole mature 9 gallon flex scape! Do you think it’s possible to transport that and maintain the way it looks? Also the fish shrimp and snails surviving in bags for possibly 2 days? Thanks for any advise mate! I’d hate to start all over since I love it! Keep up the great content!

    Set up something virtually identical for my mom. So far so good. However, detritus gathers below the hardscape pretty quickly resulting in ammonia spikes.

      I wonder if there are any tiny external pumps or filters available that could be set up with airline tubing to keep circulation

      @@slipperyfish7560 yes and no… there are plenty of tiny filters and pumps but small cubes with hardscape are tricky to clean, esp w large hardscape. My experience anyway.

      Contrary to popular belief, most aquariumplants (especially these easy ones) do fine at room temperature.
      Lower temperatures also help prevent algae.

      Plants don't need a heater. They'll be OK at room temperature.

    The plants don't need any soil for nutrients?

    • @KettmanAquatic
      @KettmanAquatic 7 місяців тому

      Yeah I'm really confused how they would be able to grow unless the dust from the air is giving it nutrients
