The only way to do this right is to build an UnRaid server. Then add Plex to it. I’m currently running this with 100TB in 12 hot swap bays. Currently adding a 15 drive JBOD.

Have tried Plex. But I hesitate to buy a blu ray reader to rip my physical media. Understand it is difficult to find the correct one. Any tips on a working reader?

Can the Nvidia Shield work with the Synology DS1821+ NAS with Plex? I'm trying the Synology with Roku and it doesn't work. It can play 480p but that's about it. So can the Nvidia connect to the network and stream 4K from the ripped files on the Synology? I'm going crazy here, nothing works, it's preventing me from getting anything done on my theater.
