Honestly, with the remakes of the RPG Games, Mario vs Donkey Kong, and Luigi's Mansion 2, Peach getting her spotlight in Princess Peach Showtime, the new mainline entry with Wonder, AND a new Mario Party Game with Jamboree, it was really a cheer sign that Nintendo was truly listening to the fans

I wish they put an actual effort into mario sports games because all other mario games are really good but the recent mario sports games were half baked.

Simple answer is yes. The weakest Mario games Nintendo has put out this era were the sports games, and those are just average.
Honestly? Mario's probably been the most creative and wacky he's been since the GameCube, and even then, this era might surpass it.
Mario Party and Paper Mario returning to form, 2D Mario oozes with creativity and charm, Mario & Luigi is back from the dead, and Princess Peach gets her own adventure entirely separate from Mario and Bowser with her own nemesis. Even Mario vs. Donkey Kong is back.
Except most of the video is lies. Most of what was said in the video excludding the mario movie is very easy to dissprove. The video was poorly researched. Copyright related things was shrugged to justify points in the video.
Honestly the ammount of holes in the video is a researched as a flat earners report on why the earth is flat :/

I can’t believe how good the Switch library is. Like I just look at my shelf and see RPG, Thousand Year Door, Odyssey, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Wonder, Party Superstars, Vs Donkey Kong…

Nintendo was prepared for the switch they are pulling out ALL the punches with this console no doubt about that
I was born in 2003. The mainline 2d and 3d Mario games on the DS, Wii, 3DS, and WiiU will always be my favourites. The Switch era hasn't changed that.

Yeah, I grew up at the same time, and today, I just had a friend over to play Mario Party 9. I wouldn’t say Nintendo’s game quality hasn’t improved, but I do love the games of that era.

While I’m also nostalgic for that era, I’m glad the series is getting more creative and experimental.
Tris, Pauline was Mario's very first love interest! She first appeared in Mario's very first game, released in 1981 and titled Donkey Kong. She was an old series mainstay and appeared much earlier than 2017's Super Mario Odyssey.
But back then, she was only referred to as "Lady." Pauline, as we know her, wouldn't come to the series until the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series.

Can't believed y'all didn't shoutout Daisy. She was trapped in (non-rpg)spinoffs, but appeared in 2 mainline Mario games (Run and Wonder) as a major character, has appeared in the theme park, and has been promoted more with the core cast. That's a huge upgrade, and I can't wait to see more of her in things such as 3D Mario, the movies, and rpgs!

Maybe the dry era of Mario had to happen, to make the games more newcomer friendly, so even more people could join the Mario fanbase, and after you catch em all.. you start getting weird again, full of creativity and charm!! Sounds to me like a business strategy, now everyone is into the "Mario Mania Train" and no one gets weirded out about a Peach teaching a CPU how to love 😌

3 Mario RPG series both making a comeback. This is truly Mario's golden age.
The 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros will be coming next year.

I'm starting to see where this is true.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Super Mario Bros. Wonder show that the plumber is willing to be more than the bare basics.
The RPGs are in a wild renaissance, with remakes of SMRPG and PM: TTYD and a promising new game with Mario & Luigi: Brothership. Let's not forget a remake of the original Mario vs. Donkey Kong.
The Booster Course Pass was brilliant. 48 courses was already nice, but we also got returning characters in the later waves; now the entire roster from Mario Kart Wii is present in Mario Kart 8! Super Mario Party Jamboree likewise looks to be a lot of fun...
Even stuff like Princess Peach Showtime, while not for me, allows Mario characters to thrive in new sub-adventures like we had once before.
All things considered, we are living in a grand timeline for Super Mario. But...that doesn't magically make me hate the 2010s. I never truly had a problem with lunchbox era Mario games, and never will.

It's a common critique of the franchise that's finally being addressed.
Not being able to do practically anything with Mario as a series, as we saw during the "dull" era of Mario.
Now, it seems like there's more room for creativity and being able to branch out with what can be done with Super Mario.
I've said this before but I hope this leads to a golden era of Mario spin-offs.
For me personally, Mario Kart’s booster course pass, Mario movie & Mario Wonder have been absolute delights.

Make no mistake, in my opinion, Mario has ALWAYS had that sense of wonder and whimsy no matter what game you’re talking about.
You know, the same could be said about Pikmin, and Metroid, in their respective scales. More can be done, but compared to before, there is a Golden Age feeling about these two IPs.
Heck, one could even argue the same thing about F-Zero, with its 99 entry.
Nah, Metroid’s Golden age was during the prime trilogy era, from around 2001-2007. That’s when we got Zero Mission, Fusion, and four prime games if you count hunters.
As for Pikmin, we’ve only gotten gotten 1 new game on switch, and F zero hasn’t had any since GX back in 2001.
So happy Peach is getting more attention and love from Nintendo, as well as Princess Zelda, already pre-ordered echoes of wisdom, and hope it continues

I'm still hoping for Nintendo to rework the concept of Super Mario Bros 35, and turn it into a fully fledged battle royale game. Maybe incorporate both 2D and 3D styles of competition.

This golden era began with the Wonder game, announced after the piece of &#&$ movie seemingly killed any enjoyment of the franchise, took a step back for the remaining dlcs of the previous bad era, then took another step back after nintendo made a peach game as a kirby replacement, and right now they're prospering with the remakes/ports of high-quality games of the other good eras

The WiiU isn’t given enough credit for this “Golden Age” but yeah…. It’s great to be a Mario fan! The n64/Gamecube eras definitely had their titles but it’s a smorgasbord now!

So few first party exclusives, most of them being walking simulators, many of their series are just dead outside of the ones with hyper-realistic visuals. People call the ninth generation of consoles the generation of nothing for a reason.

Despite half of the Mario switch games being ports and remakes. The Switch era was strong for the Mario series compared to previous console era.
Hopefully this means the next Mario games in the future will be filled with so much creativity ESPECIALLY in the Paper Mario Games

Great Idea using Gold Mario to show his golden age.
To be honest, I enjoy Gold Mario, & I don't even mind Pink Gold Peach as well, when it comes to 2 Plumber Bros. & 2 Loyal Princesses, I don't mind having these 4 each have their own color of gold.
Mario = Yellow Gold Mario (Gold Mario) since Yellow is the main color of gold it just makes sense for Mario.
Luigi = White Gold Luigi.
Yes when Luigi obtains a Gold Flower he becomes Silver Luigi, but I feel like Luigi can still become golden, while shining like a Sterling Chap.
Peach = Pink Gold Peach.
Having Pink Gold for Peach is just perfect for her, & not only that it ties her to Mario as well.
The more Copper that you add to Gold you can change from Pink to Rose to Red as well.
Daisy = Green Gold Daisy (Electrum Daisy).
Electrum is naturally occurring alloy of gold & silver in nature, that dates back to Ancient Egypt (Birabuto Kingdom).
The name was onced use for Amber, a color in-between both Yellow & Orange, & was even used to refer to White Gold as well.
Green Gold is more a slight yellow green than regular green, but I do like how it makes Daisy connected to Luigi.
Those ideas were on game banana first all Nintendo does is steal Mario Galaxy and new super Mario Bros mods and then sell them as theirs

We given the sales of Wonder and even RPG, this new era is a true step in the right direction for Mario, going away from the blandness of the “New” games, and the trippy weirdness of Wonder and even Mario and Luigi Brothership.
It would be a true golden age when we get super Mario galaxy 3 or a title that uses gravity mechanics again.

The super Mario bros movie, super Mario bros wonder, super Mario rpg remake and thousand year door remake, the finished 8 deluxe dlc tracks,and the next Mario and Luigi upcoming rpg game since the 3ds era this definitely has been a shining time for Mario at this point I think the real cherry on top to finish this is the next 3D Mario game whether it be for switch or its successor I can’t say it’s impossible for it to still come to switch after seeing that Mario and Luigi game trailer I always wanted it but with this far in the switch life cycle I never thought it was gonna come til the next gen

Nintendo Switch will go down as the generation “Nintendo Listened to the Fans”.
At least we can tell ourselves we're going through a new golden age, or as we'll eventually call it "the good ol days". Best enjoy this moment in time while we can and hope for more.
I think Nintendo was just worried about the "success" of Mario during the 2010s, so they played it safe and just did the generic. Now that Mario is way more successful and famous than ever before, its easier for them to try out new things in the series.
You guys aren't ready for the next 3D Mario and Mario Kart on the switch 2. The jump in tech we're about to see will be the biggest since the jump from the n64 to GameCube.
I hope we get a 3D Mario for the Nintendo Switch 2’s release year.

I got the golden age to enjoy while I still can. I do not know when it will end, but I will there will not be series like the Mario series. Not for a long time.

If there's one thing I know about 'golden' ages, it's that they never last.
Good video. I don’t necessarily disagree, but there is too much Mario. The brand has been over saturated on the Switch, and it’s hard to excited about a lot of these releases. Three Mario RPGs in less than two years is excessive. The spin-offs and sports games feel like checking off boxes. It’s still great to get games like Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario Wonder, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Mario + Wonder: Kingdom Battle, and Super Mario RPG. But each release feels less interesting the more often we get them.

People act like the Wii U and 3DS era sucked. During that time I was hearing everyone enjoy the time's Mario games with the only real complaint being the games were a little repetitive (and Mario RPGs didn't hit the same) and the great games were on the Wii U yeah, but why is everyone suddenly acting like it was equal to Sonic's dark ages? It wasn't that bad, just a little repetitive with some mediocre games.

They did. Too many 2D platformers, 3D Mario was becoming more like 2D Mario, the spin-offs couldn't be creative, and for the Wii U era in particular, it was software droughts, poor third party support, and from late 2015-2016 a string of very mediocre to bad Nintendo releases. It was during this era I was questioning if I still liked Nintendo when I saw games like Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash and Paper Mario: Color Splash. And some of the games they showed, like Color Splash and Metroid Prime: Federation Force felt like Nintendo was being purposefully spiteful and telling the fans they would NOT do what the fans wanted.
I wouldn't say it's comparable to Sonic's dark ages. But it was a very depressing time to be a Nintendo fan. I wanted to give up hope on Nintendo during this time and felt like they were capable of delivering competent games anymore.

It's hard to top the GameCube era when it had four great Mario Party games. The only two games I wasn't a fan of were Sunshine's lack of polish and Double Dash's stiff feeling controls.
