A duet with Matt & Mitch is not the first thing I'd think of, but boy howdy! they blend so well. I've noticed lately how well the lower registers of all the voices have matured into sweet, sweet tones. And Kevin ain't just a beatbox and a cello. He's got some pretty darn good pipes, too. And as always the unsung (pun intended) hero is their arranger, whose name escapes me.
Kirstie killed it here at the end. I just can't get enough of them. Love your reaction as usual.
Love hearing Scott take the bass during Matt taking lead. Mitch and Matt harmonizing and Scott and Kirstie as well are fantastic. Kevin took a bit of a back seat this time out. Love this song and them.
Agree with everything you said except the part about Kevin taking a back seat. True, there was no beatboxing or a solo part for him, BUT in my opinion, there is no 5 part harmony without him. I tend to listen to a PTX song a minimum of 6x because each listen after hearing the whole song through, I focus on a particular member the whole way through the song. It allows me to appreciate their individual contributions to the song, especially when it is a song like this with no beatboxing. I feel Kevin's contribution to beatboxless (lol new word?🤔) songs are so underrated. He rounds out their harmonies and the songs simply would not sound the same without him. 😊💞
@@dianad3080 Even when he beatboxes they sound like more than 5 voices. Every tune demands re-listening multiple times. They totally gobsmack me.

I was so looking forward to your reaction to this song. As you mentioned, what else can be said about PTX that hasn't already been expressed? This was hauntingly beautiful and they do such a great job of not only giving us an audio ear candy experience, but also their deliberate visuals complimenting their voices to convey their interpretation of this song. From the simple black background to themselves in their own background walking in circles like the lyrics, to panning to a close up of Mitch singing "look right through me" as we see him look dead at us through our souls (or so it seems) to the walking backwards while singing the "mad world" chorus in different scales until uniting at the end with a wall of sound. Thanks for another great diagrossting (😜) reaction. Can you add to your list a reaction to Scott and Mario Jose doing a cover of LP's "Lost on You". How Scott thought to sing that song over a Hans Zimmer track (think from the movie Inception) was just pure genius and blew my mind. It is literally something I listen to once a day. I love your videos. Love. And this song was one of my favorites when it originally came out in the early 80s, done by Tears for Fears. I was excited when I found out PTX covered it, and I was NOT disappointed.

You should react to them trying to sing 100 songs in 10 minutes. They were on FBE UA-cam channel (REACT/REPLAY) and asked to try this challenge. It's silly and fun but also impressive.
That is a fun video. The part that always gets me is the collective brain fart they have on number 60. Scott and Kevin look blankly at each other while Matt looks blankly at Kirstin who looks blankly at Mitch who looks blankly at the card. Even after they got the name of the song right, it took a while for it to click. How quickly they forget. :)

There's only one thing I don't like about this song. There's no beatboxing in this one, so why didn't Kevin get to sing some? Other than that, I love it!
Kevin sang through the whole song - it's the only way they could build those complicated 5 part chords in the first chorus - all those 6's and hanging 9s. They feel so full because in a normal PTX song, they have to drop parts of the chord (usually the 5th) so they can add those color tones - Kevin's on the beat so there's only 4 voiced notes, three if they are around a lead line.
They couldnt keep the round going without him either.
He just didn't get a solo. :(
