Ah man. The entire Dark Cloud Soundtrack remastered SNES Style? Now that's something I wasn't excepting but am super happy to see. Time to relive some memories.
Man, not gonna lie, I almost teared up when I heard that bit of Unknown History that you hid in Time of Destiny, both those tunes mean a lot to me (Time of Destiny being my favorite track from DC1 and Unknown History being a contender for my favorite DC2 track) and I never would've expected to hear them mashed together, but I'm all for it.
Nishiura is really good at this, some of the tracks he made can easily bring tears in our eyes, the melodies he made for both game are so nostalgic, it touches deep in the heart. I understand you feeling as well. It sounded quite obvious to put some Unknown History motif in Time of Destiny, similar energy! Happy you enjoyed it :)
@@hydrogene I think what also got me there is that Time of Destiny is a track that I associate with Seda, while Unknown History is one that I associate with Monica, and yeah, I think we've all heard the infamous fan theory by now, that Monica might be descended from Seda in some way, and it's a theory that I personally like.
@@IncarnationOfNeutrality You will be very happy to learn this: it has been proven than Seda is the father of Monica! The Dark Cloud community has been able to extract the 3D models from Dark Chronicle, and when you are looking at King Raybrandt face, it's actually an older Seda.
@@hydrogene I'm aware of that find though it doesn't necessarily prove anything, King Raybrandt looks a bit different in the Official Art Book, so that may have been done just for time constraints, so that could just be a coincidence, it could be that King Raybrandt is an older Seda, or it could be that maybe he's a descendant of Seda, it really isn't clear. But yes that was still a cool find on the community's part
Haha, unfortunately it's not here! Here are some tips: - the easter egg last less than 2 sec - it's from a famous track from Dark Chronicle - who said a track can have only one easter egg? It's a bit complicated because it uses a different chord and a different tempo than in its actual music. Hope it will help :)
@@hydrogeneLooking at these hints, you say it's one of the more well known tracks from DC2? So with that I'll guess that the track I should be looking out for is either Neverending Adventure or Time is Changing, but if I'm right about either of those, the question is where exactly is the Easter Egg, cuz I know it's gotta be somewhere between Duel, Moon Factory and Ice Queen La Saia
@@IncarnationOfNeutrality Let's give some more hints then, I don't think it's a good easter egg due to how difficult it is for what it actually is... I'm not very happy of this one and don't know what I had in mind when I made this one lol, so here are some new tips : - It is indeed between Duel or La Saia. It can't be in Moon Factory because of the hint I gave above : it's in a track where there is already an other easter egg - When I said it's from a famous track from Dark Chronicle, I implied it's a track we hear A LOT in DC2, probably the track we hear the most in the entire game Hope it will help to find it for good!
Well, at 24:27 I can tell that's an Easter Egg no one's found yet, but I can't place my finger on the tune, as a Dark Cloud fan I'm ashamed of myself for that. (Also hi you may know me as Derrick, I've changed my info here on YT)
Happy you notice this, you are the only one who have spot the difference with the original track here. actually... there is nothing! I simply imagined something new for this part that could work with Nishiura' composition style, but it has no link with DC1 or DC2. (And hi again Derrick!)
Great job! I had been waiting for this upload for a while 😄 I really like the way you rearranged the notes in many tracks or used instruments that are not directly equivalent to what we hear in the original PS2 soundtrack, it gives the tracks a different vibe while still sounding familiar. The inclusion of DC2 melodies is nice too. My favorite tracks: The Village Festival, Battle Theme, Wise Owl Forest, Muska Racka, Ocean and Moon, Last Battle Phase 1, Demon Shaft, Black Knight Pendragon
Hey, thanks a lot! Yeah, it took me a year to pull up this new SNES remastered project, happy to see you around! :) I had a lot of fun making those track you mentionned as well, glad to know it belong to your favorites!

Village Festival + Preminition of Something Going to Happen Destruction of Norune + Death Ark Norune Village + Firbit's Theme I'll reply to this if I find more lol
The legend of Toan lives on! This entire remixed soundtrack rocks!
and this is forever going to be on repeat for me
omg, Matataki Village suddenly sounds near-identical to Crysta from Terranigma. It's the same soundfont and everything. Great work.
Thank you :)
I'm still impressed no one's found 12, I should start looking for it again, cuz I know I have before but I had no luck
Does this cover pass the vibe check? Hmmm……. (Skips to Queens 32:44) Ahhh, blissful perfection. You sir have outdone yourself.
Oooo DARK CLOUD 1 SNES NOW
This is what magic is made of!

Drans Battle theme sounds spectacular with that driving bass line in the mix!!
You know a 2D Demake of Dark Cloud would be pretty cool!
For sure!
Hehe. You snuck in Zelmite Mines in Divine Beast Cave, didn't you. I didn't realize you did a 2-for-1 in that one!
Congrats!! You got it! 😁
That's so obvious!! Sheesh

This WOULD play out so Greatly in SNES format. This game was kinda Chrono Trigger zelda like for the PS2! has that anime storybook vibe, to me.
