Today we are covering the power scaling of the previously D-Tier villain the Spot and how he now has become one of the most power movie villains of all time. This video also covers the general scaling of the different Spider-Man versions that appear in Across the Spider Verse!

Just to add it to his strength when Miles gets a vision of the future for a split second, you can see the spot standing over the dead bodies of hundreds of Spider-Man so yeah.

I think Miles's status as an Anomaly will let him 'counter' Spot's dimensional ability. Enough to hit him, at least.
His body is a portal. Any strike would be portaled somewhere else.
I can only see them winning with some sort of higher being coming in to put a stop to the spot.

I can see them adding this to the plot because him and Spot are essentially creations due to one others actions…Spot is powerful however they could amplify Spider man’s energy absorption or some how make him absorb dark matter due to him being an anomaly idk we’ll see it’s many ways they could do it

If you slow down during the future flash he and Miles has, you can see that his portals turn into straight up BLACK HOLES, sucking up buildings and the surroundings and spits them out.

Movie prediction: I think the only way the stakes of the movie get resolved is if the spot has a change of heart. It seems the only way to defeat a being this powerful will be for miles to essentially talk him down. I mean we see throughout the whole movie that spot really only has a problem with miles, he kinda ignores bystanders and doesn't even try and hurt anyone. I predict he will sacrifice himself in beyond the spiderverse. Something akin to doc ock in spiderman 2.
I strongly believe he's the reason why all Spiderman go through tragedies, I think he manipulates their universe to work against them for their tragic life ruining moments, there's even a scene where he's surrounded by dead spidermen at one point that shows up for half a second during the bit where Miles sees the future.
@@entropyOTD he is not the reason of tragedy for all spiderman, because he got that power after cronologically the tragedy of spidermans happened, he control portal/space, not exaclty time unless he finds a way to manipulate time trough space for it to become a paradox where he manipulates and causes the tragedy, the problem of this is taht spot focus is miles spider man, the other spiderman in the future vision are the ones that tryed to stop him, not that he intentionally caused their tragedys to happen, him seeing the possibilitys of choice of all of them and the future is a thing, but actually being the cause of something that already happened is another

@@entropyOTD hum is more like a connection with the spot? like, he "made" Miles see his story, then why wouldn't he show what type of villain he became to make Miles loose everything, because that is seeing the future/seeing one of the outcomes trough choices, and not literally anything to do with exaclty time, because what spot is doing is literally being able to know about the dimensions that are created trough each single choice that is made.

very fun thing is that, he's a actual scientist in the movie, right when he enters his spots dimension or whatever, he tests if there's an echo to see if it's an enclosed space, infinite, or very, very big.
then he just experiments with his powers to figure out how to use them right, which i love about his character.
It's really cool because it's probably exactly what I would do if I woke up with some ridiculous power. Just test everything.

I really hope they defeat him by talking him down, rather than just punching him until he faints. He's so powerful, it better be something special. And even then, he doesn't seem to be so evil that he deserves death or something like that.

I can never say how happy I am that they finally used the spot, he's one of the most simple fun villains with a clean design
I actually suspect they may stop him by, well, telling him all this. I don't think he has any grand designs or even wants to kill Miles. And he certainly doesn't want to collapse the multiverse, because if they make some of his backstory the same, he has a wife and kid. I suspect that either Miguel will try to recruit him or use him, but he's not dumb. He would probably like this all contained to world 1610 and is even all for dragging Miles back home. Now, he might actually lose control and this is how they connect this to the larger MCU. He might be as equal a Daredevil enemy so Marvel may share rights to him.
I really chilling detail they put in the Spot's final few minutes of screentime:
You can hear screams constantly sound all around him after he's fully powered up, as if the holes that the Spot creates causes the multiverse and infinity itself to scream in pure agony

It doesn't really need explaining how his portals can take him across the multiverse, he gets his powers from the Collider, which can pull things from other universes, so it makes sense that he can do the same
His potential defeat is actually built into his powers(which I love when writers do that), basically, while he has holes on his body, he can use them defensively, avoiding any attack. If you try to shoot him, you miss as your projectile or beam is lost inside a portal.
However, he can run out of holes as he uses them. If you can get him to overextend, he might be left without enough holes to defend himself from a close up. But since he can manupilate his holes and get them back to his body, that "defenselessness" is actually a lot harder to capitalize on, since even if he fails to block your approach with his holes, he can fetch them back after realizing he has overextended, meaning once he is been made aware, you are back to trying to get him to overextend.
that would have only worked before, no real way to make him overextend when they cant even touch him at this point
He can just sit there and there's absolutely no way to stop him, he could sit in a chair for an hour and nobody would be able to stop the Spot. He doesn't have an actual body. Physical and magical attacks won't work
Why would he be defeated? These movies try to be clever. For all we know he might end up regretting his actions, forgiving Miles and becoming a good guy. We simply do not know.

spot went from a low bagel joke that no one knew about to one of the most powerful and dangerous characters in all of marvel, one of the frame shows spot above a pile of dozens of dead spidermen, if spot finishes his mission and knows how to fully use his powers he could destroy the entire multiverse, he allready destroyed a massive bridge and barely knew how to use his powers but if he goes on a rampage he could end up getting the attention of the Cosmic Pantheon (Infinity, Oblivion, Death, Eternity) and even the living tribunal.
another thing i just thought of.. he showed miles his future and how he is gonna kill his dad and miles's universe and 1 frame showed spot above huge pile of spidermen including hobie dead and another one decapitated.. im starting to think that spot can even go through time since he showed the future so spot could literally be unstoppable💀
Personally I really hope Spot isn’t beaten in the traditional sense where he gets drained of power or something.
The problem is when you make a villain as OP as they have with this version of Spot, who has basically become an SCP, is that you have to come up with some incredibly contrived/convenient weakness that seems like it was pulled straight out of the writers hammer-dimension.
I hope that in the next film, Spots knowledge of space-time becomes so advanced he basically forgets his vendetta against Miles and no longer cares since he has now become something above a human and can see the bigger picture of everything and thus realises just how pointless his previous ambitions are. That would fully complete his transition into an eldritch Lovecraftian entity who are defined by their complete lack of interest in humanity or morality, revenge etc etc. Then he willingly leaves Miles and everyone else behind to go and explore the infinite multiverse.
That would be a new and interesting way to deal with a villain.
He won't forget his anger is still brewing it hasn't been fully unleashed otherwise miles would've been dead already.
Spot literally became Anti Spiral
My understanding of the vision he saw was that he was not seeing in time but the underlying threads of the multiverse, more in line with what Maguel talks about. So he wasn't seeing the future but the template that people will likely fall into given whats happened in other universes. But I suspect the next movie will get into what's really going on.
I imagine that Miguel will recruit the "OP Spider-Men" to fight The Spot, like Captain Universe Spider-Man, Spider-Man with an infinity gauntlet, Spider-Man with a gun and no moral restrictions on using it, etc. Only for The Spot to one shot all of them.
In other words, they're going to have to reverse his power-up if they stand any chance

After seeing how they made this guy into a extreme threat, I wonder if the wall would get the same treatment.
The wall can make infinite walls when colliding with every version of the wall in the multiverse, turning into composite wall, being able to make galaxy tearing universe sized walls that break the laws of the universe

I’m pretty sure that spiderman’s spidy sense doesnt work for spot when his attacks are comming through or are portals. I’ve read it a couple times online in lists of his abilities so i’m not totally sure but the consensus seems to be that the attacks originate so far from him (another dimention) that he can’t feel them comming.

Not just that... The portals aren't inherently evil or anything and that's why spidey's senses don't go off
Pretty sure that Spidey's Sense is similar to Danger Sense with a few exceptions and quirks to the way it works for the spider-family.
I think cosmic spiderman is the only one the portals wouldn't work against. He does just have Spidey senses he has cosmic awareness

I do like how the Vulture from the art plane of existence has the ability to reach into an infinite expanse of stuff so he can just make things on the fly, almost like how he's drawing *badum-tiss* on the power of his creative imagination.
Spot at the end of the movie is a omnipotent being that is LITERALLY immortal because of the infinite amount of spot’s in other timelines that he has access too. Additionally spot is basically the definition of space, he is the very fabric of reality, so how does someone beat something that is immortal, omnipotent, and is everywhere and nowhere at the same time
i find it hilarious how people can even think that someone capable of ending multiverses would lose to goku, or anyone from dbz for that matter, people gotta stop being so biased and see the facts
agreed there is a very finite multiverse in Dragon Ball the infinite choice model is far far bigger and the Spot threatens it Goku just doesn't have the feats to back up it being a contest, I'm sad about that since I love Dragon Ball but it's accurate
Being able to travel to different spider verses doesn't mean he's a "Multiversal threat" Lol. Y'all so fcking stupid kids 😂💀, Spot was never shown to be able to create an attack that's planetary or star level at least, and here we've random d riders trying to 'powerscale' saying he's above universal and can solo Goku and all of fiction. Goku will end Spot's life in not even a second, he will get clapped by most of the anime antagonists are planetary-star level. Actual strong ones like Saitama (OPM) can be seen obliterating multiple galaxies and stars by just colliding his punch with a punch similar to his. Goku is much stronger than that. Spot was never shown of capable teleporting literal planet busting attacks with his portal, if a planetary attack was likely to hit him, he will die in an instant. Also he's massively slow compared to characters that can casually move at MFTL (Massively Faster than Light).
Nice more people should really be taking about this villain
Pretty sure they can't defeat this version of Spot in combat without writers block deus ex machina magic, the only way I see Spiderman winning is with classic communication and talking him down, or straight up bribing him somehow to give up villainy.
I don't mind a villain like The Spot being talked down if its established that they can't be beaten pretty clearly by other means.
I definetly think the spot is too powerful for any of the spidermen and that talking is probably the only way their beating him
my only idea of defeating him is making him use all of his holes, it was established that can happen to him and he is very weak without them
Nearly perfect and the only flaw I can really think of is that this movie may be to ambitious. Because of how massive this movie is it almost was destined to disappoint me a little at the end. Of course we mainly want to see Myles defeating Spot and hence proving Miguel wrong because they were setting this plot point up for a lot of the movie. Towards the end they set up some other stuff and leave the major plot points they set up to be tied up in the next movie. Still I don’t mind too much and the movie was still phenomenal.

I knew strangely a lot about the spot before his announcement for this movie but honestly thought he'd just get packed up by miguel or miles then not seen for the rest of the movie just a villain to show the viewer what mile's daily life has been like ever since the last movie

@@kidluffy4469 I mean he was a "joke" only in that he has a silly name that made peter laugh and he gave up fighting him after getting hit once, running away completely fine....except that was the only punch spidey landed on him after a good double dose of getting his ass kicked hard by a newbie villain because he was always extremely busted and dangerous (he only got his punch in because the guy forgot to recall his spots, leaving too much whitespace to dodge the one hit spidey landed. Additionally in another run he straight up murdered several people by just teleporting everywhere, like straight up snapping a guy's neck by summoning portals onto his body, reaching out through them, and then twisting.
needless to say this guy was always scary, he just never got respect for a while for seemingly odd reasons
Theoretically the spot can become increasingly more powerful. One mini collider and another super sized collider was enough to turn him into an extremely powerful multiversal threat. If the spot fused with more super colliders harnesing all the interdemensional energy he could become powerful on an incomprehensible scale.
Unless there is a limit on how much interdemensional energy he can harness.
Honestly I feel like how it’s all gonna play out is miles sacrifices himself somehow, if he never existed (no anomaly) then the spot would have never existed (no anomaly), the spot exists because of him and he exists because of the spot, if Miles stops existing he might be able to save the multiverse. This also makes sense because the spot is wanting to get revenge and ruin miles life like miles did to him and how else but to completely erase his life?

I think Cosmic Force and Spider Totem God might join the fight, they are multiversal super beings. Normal Spidermen powers can't even touch Spot anymore, they'll need Cosmic Spiderman for battles of this multitude.

Absorbing Kirby doesn't help, since there is no indication the spot can actually keep anything trapped in the spotted dimension. There are like infinite other options for the spot to take on Kirby though. Like just destroying the universe Kirby is in, though admittedly Kirby has also survived such too.

I think that Spider-society will defeat Spot by making him use all of his holes. We all know that by the end of the movie, he is fully covered, essentially becoming his own portal. But what if it can be taken from him. What if Miles and Spider-society does their best to out spot him.
And considering we haven't seen Takuya or Japanese Spider-Man, its possible he will have a huge role to the next movie. Just like in Spider-geddon comics, when Miles uses his Mecha sword to defeat the villain.

The joke doesn't work as Dragon Ball characters have been shown to tank thier own attacks and sometimes those more powerful than them(Ex:Goku tanking his own Kamehameha in battle of gods or Frieza tanking hakai energy)
Also I see them being able to manuever around/adapt spots portal ability due to ki sense and outright superior speed
