    Always look forward to these clips, can almost feel my skis running across the snow! I actually like watching the run on the lifts as well, gets you into the feel of the place before skis actually touch snow! I always look for when it was posted, comes through straight away as I have it on alert. Would there be a possibility of adding some more info to it? I feel it would be good if you added the date and even time footage was shot, helps with noting the snow conditions and how busy the runs are. Just a thought. Keep up the good work!

      Hi Paul, there is a lot of information in the video description, including the date, location and a link to the resort map. The time you can normally see at the entrance of the lifts but I haven't included it because sometimes I forget to sync the GoPro time and it won't always be accurate. I also use chapters so you can see the piste name and lift name during the video...

    It's 100 here in the desert of New Mexico. I'm going home this weekend where it's even hotter. Your videos help me relax and cool off. Hey how long have you been skiing? You're so good at it and you manage to get around all those people too. Take care.

      Wow, now that's hot. I don't handle really hot temperatures well, I suppose that's why I like the snow so much. I've been skiing for arounf 30 years, though I did start quite late... glad you find the videos useful... speak soon.

    Hey, great Video as always,
    how would you compare the different parts of the Ski Arlberg Area? Like in terms of on piste skiing, which is your favorite?
    And is St. Anton or Ischgl a better resort for experienced skiers?

    • @ChasingSnow
      @ChasingSnow  Рік тому +1

      Hi Peter, each area of Ski Arlberg has a different feel, I don't really have a favourite, they are all pretty good and worth experiencing with St. Anton being the most popular and probably the largest. Ischgl is also great with a lot to offer but I would put it at a similar level as Ski Arlberg, one of the top resorts in Austria. As an experienced skier though, Ischgl may offer some more challenging on-piste runs.

    Nice, video... I see that you have made some playlist of ski areas but i'm missing a lot of areas there where you have been such as 3 Valles and Ischgl etc... Can you make more playlists? That will be filtering the great videos simple. Thanks a lot.

    • @ChasingSnow
      @ChasingSnow  Рік тому +2

      Yes, I am planning many more playlists within the next few weeks as I sort through the remaining videos so I can start a new video where the previous one ended. That way, when watching a playlist you can see a continuous video of the resort.

    Great runs. I'm curious. Do you speak all the languages of the different places you ski or rely upon everyone speaking some English?

    • @ChasingSnow
      @ChasingSnow  Рік тому +1

      Hi Barry, English tends to work most of the time except in the French speaking parts, which is the largest (France, Switzerland). I do know enough French to get me through, though it's still poor. I speak English as my main language but also Serbian, a bit of French and German.

    I like your video's very much! Always looking forward to watch the almost daily updates. Especially when I have been to the resort, like Warth - Schröcken, it's fun to recognize the lifts and slopes! I only wonder why you choose to have only nice music during the scenes in the lift but stop with the music when the slopes start. I think I would prefer also music during the descent on the slopes in stead of the sound of the loud wind and scratching ski's on the snow. perhaps it would make it even more relaxing watching the already great video's?

    • @ChasingSnow
      @ChasingSnow  Рік тому +1

      I used to put music through the whole videos (see my older ones) but a lot of viewers prefer that I don't have music when skiing. The other problem is that different people have different tastes of music, so finding and adding music takes a lot more effort and time. In the end, it was much easier not to add it and spend more time on the editing, like animating the maps, which I think is a lot more useful.

      @@ChasingSnow OK, I understand. Many people, many opinions. I will check some older video's again too. The animation of the ski maps is also great indeed. So good choice I think. No worries, I will keep watching and enjoying the new releases off course! Thanks for your explanation and comment. 👍👍

      @@nicklobe3922 Thanks for your feedback Nick, each video does take some time to complete and even though I know there is room for improvement, I need to balance time with other activities, especially during ski season when I'm usually skiing all day. This is when things get busy. It would be great if UA-cam had an option for viewers to watch videos with designated music or raw sound, that would then fix the issue. I would also like temporary titles via UA-cam, that would also help but for the moment, we have to live with what we have. Cheers and greatly appreciate your support...

      @@nicklobe3922 I was one of those complaining about the music during the skiing. I'm not looking to relax during these videos, I am there to (vicariously) ski. When I ski, I don't listen to music. Hearing the wind and the sounds of the skis on the snow and ice helps make it real.

      @@barrylongyear1933 Hi Barry, I completely understand your point of view! I also don't listen to music when I am skiing myself. Outside I want to experience the feeling and the sound of the wind and the snow. But at home, relaxing in my chair and enjoying beautifull video's of ski resorts, I like some background music. It's great that these video's in different ways are fun for both of us!
