Excellent - thank you! I'm a 17-year Ashtangi- he's so spot on - I went thru all those stages. I'm writing a book now on prana, functional nutrition and detoxification. If it was not for my yoga path I would never have had this much to share on my experience and how it impacted my health.
I really loved this interview, particularly the part where Michael talks about music begin a powerful tool in his practice. I personally LOVE practicing primary series at home with my music. I built several playlists that really enhance my practice and allow me to completely escape my mind and just feel and flow.I always feel absolutely relaxed and peaceful after practicing with my music. Love the fact that he says we should not be so hung up on counting breaths... really there is no need for such hangups... just live the moment in all of its glory!
great interview, love all the purple valley interveiws and the asana school vids... stu is aces, very smiley and asks good questions with easy manner... keep em coming please!
Gosh I found Michael's way of approaching the question about music insulting and patronising. To call it "bullshit" and "limited thinking" in response to the to question about whether music interferes with the breath is so harsh and unnecessary. Highly strung much? Way to go Stu for remaining you usual lovely and centred self.
wow....I literally said...my gosh as well.. I don't find the concept of narrow mindedness a little offensive.. wow...I agree. I think he means well but..
So strange that this guy is meant to be some sort of an example of a Yogi and yet he is so highly strung and using the F word .....I mean he seems a nice guy, but there were things that disturbed my spirit.

Stu, you always know what questions to ask and always stay so calm, polite and just authentic. Waiting for more

Something is off with this guy. The thumbnail alone gives me creepy vibes.
