WOW. Just Wow.
In a world full of commercial fluff and shallow productions with predictable plots, middle of the road performances, agendas and mediocre music scores. AndhaDhun is a fresh of disturbing fresh air. Deceptively Outstanding and with so many layers to this wonderful movie.
Given the importance of 'music' in the movie, this was such a wonderful movie to breakdown and review. If you are a Feature Friday Movie Club member, you already know how much fun we had reviewing this!

The last scene where he threw the coke with his stick meant that the story he told to his love in ending was actually fake and it never happened and maybe he did all what the doctor said
Or may be this whole story was fake and he and Tabu were actually having an affair and they had plotted the murder

OR, there was no "policeman", all along it was him. HE was having an affair with Simi, got caught to her husband and they killed him together and staged it exactly like he said the "policeman" did. Sophie ACTUALLY caught Simi and him together at his house. Simi told Sophie about the affair, and he killed Simi for it and made this entire story up on the spot 2 yrs later, when he ran into Sophie unexpectedly.
If there was no policeman then who did the neighbor aunty see? She said she saw some "strong bodied man" go into the apartment to the policeman at Pramod's funeral....
now think , if he was blind when the villain crashed the car because of the bullet , how did he know that he was saved because of the rabbit , basically he lied to her

The theory is the scene where he n the doctor passed the tree on the road was shown twice but different placement of the TREE
33:08 That scene is brilliant because Akash was saved because of the Lord Shiva Tattoo....but if you notice the ringtone which the doctor had it just makes it more brilliant... The ringtone that the doctor had in his phone was Shiv Tandav Strotam ( a hymn dedicated to Lord Shiva ) ...it was because of the repeated phone calls the doctor slipped out important details and Akash figured it out that something is wrong.

And unluckily Bollywood rarely has such good movies unlike Malayalam industry so I think they should react to Drishyam...
Remake is equally as good as original.

is slightly changed in Akash's version of the story to relay that the story is constructed by him with some changes the changes being him not accepting the deal.
Tabu & Radhika Apte, both are ammmmazing actresses. Probably the most talented of their era.
At 46:17, the car crosses the tree however, at 47:55 the car stopped near the tree which means the story told by Akash to Sophie is a Fake story (Simi unalive the doctor, the rabbit get shot 🐰 everything is fake) and he created this story inspired by this Rabbit stick. So.... Akash is not blind now he's faking it 😎
And to conclude he went with doctor 's idea of taking simi's eyes and selling her liver for money.

I think the whole story is made up. He was caught cheating, so he made it up. Everything. We can't be sure of anything that Sophie does not actually see or know herself. The kidney racket as well. How likely are you to come across such criminals in real life. We don't even know if any of them, including the doctor, the police, the old lady who got killed, actually exist. How does he know the police's wife found out about her husband's cheating. He wasn't at their house. This whole story is made.
The only truths here are he was lying to Sophie about his blindness to get better opportunities, he cheated with Simi and they were caught red-handed, and Simi and Pramod are dead (killed). It is quite likely that he murdered both of them. After all, our protagonist is a negative character.

The reason he changed his mind about reporting the murder is because the Chief walked in and he recognized him as the guy the woman was having the affair with at the apartment
if u rewatch this movie u ll blown the opening scene of this movie there's voice saying ek kahani sunogi it's same moment during end when he's with radhika apte in cafe he says her the same line it's like we r watching this movie frm Akash's lense he's narrating the whole story and he changed the ending to tell her it's left upto us to choose what ending u want u can have the dr story or whatever he says or everything u hear is lie that's beauty of this movie

Of course, Tabu is one of the greatest actor in Indian Cinema, in the climax part the doctor is referring her as Lady Macbeth, and interestingly Tabu has played Lady Macbeth in Maqbool(Indian adaptation of Macbeth)

Ending explained:- Actually Akash did get the eye from simmi as according to the doctor's plan. and the simmi's death scene (car explosion) was fake, totally made up by Akash. Because how Akash know that it was rabbit who saved him. As we were watching that scene according to Akash perspective, there is no way he knows rabbit saves him (and he also get that rabbit design on his stick). So he and doctor were successful in their plan.and he did get simmi's eyes. It's just he's acting again to be blind.😂

25:27 if you didn’t laugh unnecessarily or watch with little concentration you will get that he was doing that for not getting distractions coz artists struggles alot just to get rid of distractions and always stay disciplined and focused. He already mentioned that in the beginning but you were busy laughing and talking.

So basically he lied the whole last story because if he was blind how does he know that a rabbit jumped on car's glass and saved his life he made that story he can actually see maybe he took eyes of simi also he was not rich so that doctor might have given him the money to fly to Europe

The real story was that he agreed with the doctor's plan and they drove off, he took Simi's eyes and is pretending to be blind again

Cuz when he was in car with the doctor there's a scene with a tree n they were already gone ahead n passed the tree but then again when he narrated to her they stopped before reaching the tree n check the car trunk

He made up everything from the part when the doctor was killed, the doctor was never killed, he got Simi's eyes and went off to London. According to his made up story, he was blind at the moment when the rabbit saved him, so he should'nt know that the rabbit existed and thus should not have the rabbit stick, the can in the end just cements this hypothesis.
This is such a brilliant movie. I would suggest you to watch Drishaym 1 & 2 as well. That's another masterpiece. Also, if you wanna watch more Ayushman movies, then I must say that he has some great movies.
