Side by Side -- Women, Peace and Security

Jointly developed by the Australian Government's Australian Civil-Military Centre and UN Women, "Side by Side -- Women, Peace and Security" explores how the international community has and can meet its commitments on women, peace and security. The 30-minute documentary features an introduction by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, as well as interviews with United Nations personnel, peacekeepers, mediators, humanitarian actors, policy makers and survivors of conflict.

Hope that most people will watch this video... In my opinion, Women are the soul of the world. They are our mothers, they give life...They are LIFE!!! This means they are essential to peacekeeping missions!!! They ar naturally designed to restaure peace and keep LIFE where there is conflict.... We need their smiling faces where there are suffering and pain, where children faces are full of tears... We need them as they carry the world in their hearts.

Creo firmemente que este material es demasiado importante para que no sea subtitulado en varios idiomas y fragmentado en tres partes para su mejor divulgación. Hay diferentes temáticas sobre la mujer, en todas las esferas, y se necesita sensibilizar el mayor número de personas, agentes gubernamentales, y no gubernamentales. Así como promover un activismo cada vez más apoyado y seguro.
