Well fell in love with Myanmar when we visited for the first time last year. So much so, this year we invited 36 subscribers from around the world to join us for a week long adventure down the Irrawady River. We are grateful for each and every one of them for flying all the way to one of the least visited countries in SE Asia and trusting us to plan their vacation. It was a fabulous week, and we couldn’t have done it without the amazing crew on the Irrawady Explorer. :) - irrawaddyexplorer.com/index.p...

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the #travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this #travelvlog to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
We have been following Kara and Nate on their adventures for a while now and early this year when they said they were going host a river cruise in Myanmar we didn't hesitate to book our tickets. We were so excited to be traveling with such inspirational people and when we finally meet them they were more awesome than we could of ever imagined. The bonus perk of the whole trip was meeting everyone else that was on the cruise with us. Everyone was from all different walks of life and we all got along so well because we share the same love for travel that Kara and Nate provided us through their videos. This was one of the best experiences we ever had and now we also have a boatload of new friends (literally). Thanks Kara and Nate. Love Y'all.
GUYS 😭We are so glad you came! Y'all made the trip so fun and we hope to see you again somewhere in the world! Miss and love y'all!!!!❤❤❤❤
@@KaraandNate was the trip for travel companies?
You're so lucky! This is my dream to travel with Kara and Nate someday!
So inspiring!!! Sending positive vibes from Bulgaria ♥️♥️♥️

That lady with the scooter’s face just screamed: “I’m going to lose all my scooters. I’m going to lose my business.” 😂😂

The lady did look worried! But she trusted Kara and Nate to rent her scooters out!

It’s lose not loose! Ha ha!

Seeing how much y’all interact with locals and how much you respect them, really says a lot about your character! I love every second of it. The world is a better place with the two of you in it! 🥰
😍
Seeing "Kara and Nate uploaded a new video" is a different kind of happiness ❤️❤️
Success in life is watching a sunset with wine and friends in Myanmar...LIVE IT UP YALL LIVE IT UP
the drone shots in this episode are out of this world!!
Y'all should seriously try to get your own show on travel channel! That would be so cool! Y'all are more real than most peoples...

Greeting from a Burmese boy living in Alaska.
Thank you for showcasing my birth country in such a beautiful way.
Much appreciated.
World wide I'm from burma/Myanmar and im living in Ireland
*Take back your burmese Rohingyas from our country😡Don't your country feel ashamed to do this kind of problem with their neighbour country Bangladesh?😡*
That actually looked amazing! I feel like I missed a golden opportunity. That’s not a holiday... that’s a life experience. Great job Kara and Nate!
It was a special trip indeed ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was finishing up my thesis when I got the notification and I dropped it immediately, I have my priorities straight 👌🏻
@Carlos Danger it's about the possibility of making a rural tourism route in a very secluded part of my country, as a way of helping the locals broaden their means of income :)
This is Research, of course!
Is it available to read?
@@GracieTurts nope, still haven't finished haha gotta stop watching Kara and nate vids if I want to make the deadline :)

Why does this make me want to CRY?! I just think it’s so wonderful that you all were able to share your passion, knowledge, and enthusiasm for Asia and travel with a big group of strangers. It’s just so fun to watch yalls journey and to see how much of an impact you have on the WORLD! Love y’all. Stay safe out there and Merry Christmas!
Aww Katie I’m so glad you enjoyed it 💜💜💜 We had a really special group!
I started to cry too. 😂
@@24ZEN right?! I am so inspired by them!
Y’all are going to hit 1M at your 100th country. I’ve been following y’all for a while and love watching your channel keep it up!!! Also from Memphis and love going to Nashville!!!

Rosie Mayer You predicted it!!!
Um, thanks for your vote of confidence Nate on us making it back to the boat in time on day 3. 😂😂😂
The world should know that we had a leisurely gelato and beat the rest of the group back to the boat!
😂😂😂😂 true story!!! Way to lead the pack Amy! 👏🏻 Miss you ❤️
@Eric Miss you both too!! Such a fun time on our little outing. ♥️
I literally dropped everything to watch this video
Haha it's got to be done! 😁
Dropped your phone?
Fishing for "likes"?
Hopefully, it wasn’t a baby. 😛
Me too 😉😉😉👍
Thank you for spreading love for Myanmar. There are a lot of secret gems yet to be explored by all of us. I recommend visiting this loving country. I have been a fan for a while now and I love that you guys respect the culture. Love from Myanmar!
I also live in Yangon, Myanmar. Yangon is not the capital, but it is the largest commercial city of Myanmar. Nay Pyi Daw is the capital.
Y'all this has to be my FAVORITE video ever! I really loved the end with those beautiful snaps of each of your guests! Plus, Kara and the kids is also my fave!
👍
Who noticed Bob and Gina from Italy vlog 😍😍
Anusha Kandy Yeahhhhh!!!!
Gina!!!!! That's it....lolol. I couldn't remember her name. I was excited to see them as well. :) :)
Absolutely loving the narrating in this video! Its nice to see places that are off the beaten path of most tourists 😊
Thanks guys! Glad you enjoyed it :)
I just went to Myanmar in October and LOVED it! You were the ones who inspired me to go with your original Myanmar videos! It is such a special place! Definitely one of my favorite places I have been!
That makes us SO happy!!
So exited to be able to join you guys on this adventure of a lifetime. I don't know how its possible that you guys are nicer in real life then on video! When is the next trip?
“I hope everyone else is enjoying this as much as I am.” Nate is too cute.
soooo cute xx
Have travelled all of the South Asia but not Myanmar.
After having read The Art of Hearing Heartbeats and now this beautiful video, I think I want to go visit it and stay there for a month.
You should read up on the recent genocide that Myanmar conducted on their minority group Rohingya.
Um the military literally just took over the country and are shooting protestors on the streets. I lived in this country and I would say it’s underrated only because not many people visit compared to Thailand. But Thailand Vietnam etc have more to offer for tourists.
@@BigA1921 I’m Burmese and I recommend not to visit us for now, it’s really not safe.

Thank you Kara and Nate for letting this 72 year old see the world through you young eyes. It has been a gift. You are an inspiration!
I wish I could like this more than once!! So amazing to relive these memories all over again, beautifully edited together. Kara and Nate, thanks for making the trip unbelievably special and truly memorable. You guys are the most naturally gifted tour-guides. Chesu baaaaa!!!
This video is probably gonna be one of my favorite ones that y'all made! Unfortunately, I don't have the time or money to travel. I'm a caregiver for my mom and grandma and spend most of my time at home. I've been watching your videos since the "sky lodge" video, and have enjoyed them so much. Thank you, Kara and Nate for sharing your travels, and God Bless both of you!!
Hope you get to travel on day
Love it. Our church goes on a medical mission trip every year for the past 10 years to this beautiful county and it's warm, gracious people. They spend 2 weeks in 3 to 4 different villages helping the people with their medical ailments. Every single person who has been on the team comes back home so touched by the love the felt by almost everyone they meet and served. Blessings to you both, Kathleen and Dave
Was about to hit the shower when this popped up. Shower postponed.
I went to Myanmar in 2017, one of my favorite countries I have ever been to. Amazing, feels like you’re living in a different century
I want to go on your next adventure with you! I'm a 7th grade Social Studies teacher and I use your videos ALL the time because I teach world history. We're currently watching your Everest videos and they're loving the trek! :)
You have no idea how happy that makes us!!! ❤️❤️❤️
What a great idea!!!
First off, I can’t believe it’s been two years since y’all were there the first time. Second, what an amazing trip with amazing people!
I can’t get over the culture and people of that country and their kindness! Wonderful job putting on another great group travel trip!!
Stay you 😘
I can’t believe it either! It was so good to be back with such great people ❤️😁

@25:51 “I love the sunsets” 😂
The “sappy voiceover” had me in tears. This is so sweet, and I’m sure everyone will remember this forever. Hope you all still talk
This was so amazing. I'm so glad everybody was there for the Munk ceremony. It felt special just watching it on my computer. But.....that bike ride at the beginning, would have killed me!
👍😍
I appreciate the honesty that you guys felt cuz it is such a vast contrast from seeing rich and privileged travelers In places of poverty so I appreciate the humbleness
Thank you guys for this, i m from Myanmar and its really heartwarming to see this.
Definitely visiting Myanmar next time we're in SE Asia! Love how you guys interact with the locals 🙌🙌🙌

so much love for this video! I'm not from Myanmar but I feel so thankful that you did this! I agree that Myanmar is indeed the most underrated country in Southeast Asia! I hope you also visit, Inle Lake next time! I love Kara and Nate more cause of this!!

Amazing video, as always. The way you travel, interact with the people you meet, and document your journey is just beautiful.
Guys you pulled off a fantastic tour with 36 fabulous individuals. Almost jealous I could not join.
Nate your camera technique and your editing has perfected itself, you have become a pro. I loved the aerial shots and the subtle closeups.
Congratulations on your best ever clip.
One of the most Compelling starts to a new series I've seen you guys do. Wonderful spontaneous flow in your editing. Really feels like we're there with you :) LOVE
Great share, James and Kim
Time flies so fast!! I started following up your journey for a little more of two and a half years!! Myanmar has been on my Bucket list since you visited the first time. Lovely video, looking forward to the next 😉
I love watching your videos, you can really see the quality and story telling improve video after video. This video was fantastic! What a beautiful country, and some of the most striking drone shots I've seen on UA-cam. Looking forward to watching you reach your 100th country :)
😍
Did anyone else get choked up watching the kids joining the monestary? What a special moment to witness!! Gosh I wish I could have been on this trip (and ALL your trips Kara and Nate!). Your joy and appreciation for life, good food and God's amazing creation is infectious ♥️
Like a lot of other people, as soon as l get notifications that there is anything from you guys, l drop whatever, and l am glued to the screen for however long. You bring joy to armchair travellers. Open our eyes to parts of the world that are not the "norm". Looking forward to your next adventure, and mine. Thankyou so much.
30 minutes long! More of Kara and Nate! ❤️ Yassss

I love your videos so much! Gonna keep it for later (as a study break) Kara’s voice is so peaceful
Wow! What an awesome experience you guys put together for that group. I hope you realize it will be something they cherish forever! I know its a hassle and stressful for you but you brought a lot of joy to a lot of people - including all who watched, like me. Thanks guys, you're awesome! Keep it going.!
This looks amazing. What a fantastic trip with some wonderful people. You can tell that everyone had a blast in this beautiful country!!
Omg I’m so sharing this in all my social media. You’re right. This country is amazing and underrated. Those beautiful temples, the people , and the culture. This is why is so worth watching Kara and Nate, to experience these places. Nowadays tourism schemes and commercialization of cultures make these treasured places loses it authenticity, and what you guys did was to let the people be who they are and respect them for that. Giving it back to the people, especially those children. Thank you again for sharing your adventures. ❤️❤️
Wow! This trip looked amazing. & Kara your editing has gotten SO good, & same to Nate’s filming. Blown away. Love all you guys do & represent. Proud that we share our home state. 😊
Incredible! Please please do more trips like this so I can save up and join you guys!
LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!! This trip was far greater than anything I could have ever imagined, thank you Kara and Nate for such amazing memories and a boatload of new friends! Can't wait to see everyone in Nashville!
So glad you like it Jess! See you soon! ❤️😁
This video was amazing, not only did you capture the beauty of the land and its people, culture and traditions, but you captured the genuine love of 36 new friends from around the world who share in the same goal. Travel, adventure, meet new people and experience new cultures. Great job @ kara and nate 😍😊🥂
Truly, one of the best videos I have ever seen in my opinion... one of the best out here in this UA-cam world. You guys are just so humble and kind and these genuine clips are so beautiful! I am not gonna lie, I got quite teary watching this. Much love Kara and Nate ❤️
By far one of my favorite video of yours. The kids had me bawling 😭, they are so cute! Adding Myanmar to my list. Thank you for sharing.
Love this video K & N. A very well told story. Super quality editing to deliver a full story of 7 days with 36 strangers. Keep it up.....
The beauty and culture in this video is incredible! Great job you two❤️❤️❤️
Hey Kara and Nate! I’ve been a huge fan of you guys and I am from Yangon, Myanmar. My school and I will be traveling to Kalaw on Sunday and if you guys can make it, who knows, we could figure something out! Now have fun!!! Albert.
Thanks to this video I have now added Myanmar to my bucket list and I plan on traveling there next year! Thanks Kara and Nate! Hope you do something like this again next year no matter what country it is.
Wow that drone shot at 3:34 is breath taking!
A 28-minute-long video from Kara and Nate?! Christmas came early! 🥰
This made my day 💜
Kara and Nate You guys make MY day! ❤️
Fantastic guys, I've been with you every step of the way. You are very brave to take on the responsibility for all of these people's holidays.
I did have a chuckle though at the toast "Chag .... " because in Thailand that word means materbate.
I had never that of visiting Myanmar before, your videos always make everywhere seem like the best place to be! ❤️
That’s what we love to hear! 🥰❤️
This is the best one! Really felt being a part of your trip. You guys are just awesome! Waiting to see you accomplish your mission soon - the 100th country.. Incredible!
Awesome Kara and Nate! What an experience.....Congratulations also for sharing your passion for travelling with all of us!!
Not even finished with the video and it’s one of my favorites ever!!!! love it!!!!
YOU GUYS!!!! This was so cool to watch thank you for opening our eyes to our world! We love you guys.
The local children there are just absolutely adorable, even though simple living the people are so clean and seem so sweet & mannerable. 😊
You’re so right about the kids... was remembering watching the kids experience Halloween while in Hanoi this fall. Was so cute seeing how they took to the idea (quite new there) and made it their own. Kids are so great everywhere. Schools are another great spot to get a sense of how the community is developing the children. What a excellent experience for all those who joined. If I’d not had my 3 months booked in SEA I’d have been on the trip. Next time!
Couldn’t love this more!!!!! You’re all wild! Amazing!
One of THE BEST VLOGS on UA-cam this one is. Thanks to everyone involved in this Beautiful Reality VLOG. Purely Gorgeous from the start to the end. Wow!!! You guys are Priceless.... Truly.....
Such a great video! I didn't even realize that was almost 29 minutes! It was over too soon!
That’s GREAT to hear ❤️❤️
This video brought back all of the incredible memories of our individual trips to Myanmar and our love for the people. ☺️ They truly are so sweet and friendly! ♥️ You guys planned out a wonderful tour for your group! 👏
I love this extended video and being able to see it all the details of the week. Looks like it was another one of your trips of a lifetime
today was my last day of school and since i didn’t have to go on the afternoon, i came home earlier! i’m so happy that i’ll be able to watch some of your vlogs right after you post them 😁💜
Oh man, we watched this HALF HOUR LONG AFTERSCHOOL SPECIAL on the big TV. Amazing job, guys.
Its the not the Destination, It's the journey... but its also not only the journey but the people you meet along the way that makes any journey memorable... thanks for sharing.... different people from all background, cultures sharing passion of travel and enjoying a new culture in the other side of the world.. if everyone in the world is open minded on the many issues, the world can be a better place for all
