OMG! Dr. Sobky operated on my broken wrist back in 2007, and did a wonderful job. Thank you, Doctor, my wrist gives me no trouble at all 👍
I've had a titanium ankle for over half my life now I'm 37 it's working great
After placement of a titanium dental implant I got swollen hands and feet, itchy skin and extreme fatigue. My dentist said this could not be an allergy as this is extremely rare .... So because it is rare it could not happen to me? I had it removed and within one week all my problems were gone .... No more titanium for me!
Well you couldn't possibly be a Zebra in a herd of horses currently going through this with my doctors.
Any trace of nickel is painful for me. Titanium markers with a trace of nickel were put in my breast and I have been burning and itching ever since, and an open womb on one breast that want heal.
After what time have you removed your dental implants? And at where on your body were you've got itching? in your mouth or somewhere else?
You are lucky. Same story with us! But after bone integration dentist says it is more difficult to remove an implant than a natural tooth.
I read papers on the link between titanium dental implants (allergy or metal toxicity) and autoimmune/neuroendocrine disease start. Titanium alloys are closely associated with itching or urticaria or chronic fatigue.
It's unbelievable how irate they get about this, and there are so many alloids it doesn't even have to be nickel, they are not pure titanium. I've been sick every since, and they say well it could compromise my neck well what about it poisoning my whole body..
It’s quite possible that you have a sensitivity or an allergy to the metal it’s also possible for a patient to have a sensitivity or an allergy to the actual cement.
Wow! That came as a huge surprise! More like an unexpected blow to the guts. My husband developed severe eczema 1 year after titanium screws placed in his jaws. No meds help his condition. I dont know how dangerous it would be to do another surgery to remove them.
What about the health effects that NOONE talks about, my implant caused anxiety, headaches, auto immune, cancer, sinisitus and breast cancer, and EMF sensitivity absolutely criminal !!!!
Good for you! Some people don’t know they’re allergic best to test.
Ok,what can you do if the implant is in,and having problems?
I am allergic to nickel. Last year in February I had my dental implant installed and In May I started to have an atopic dermatitis all over my body and my face. No medication work and it is so itchy. What to do? Do you think I have to ask my dentist to take it out and replace it with a zirconium one? Thanks
I am allergic to nickel also. I had a 100% metal free pure zirconium implant. I am reacting to it also. I recently found a journal article that states there are metal impurities even in zirconium implants. I would suggest in hindsight finding a different option to an implant. I have had 3 revision surgeries to remove hardware that I am allergic to. If only it had been the standard of care to test prior to implantation like this great doctor!
What’s your doctor did ? Did replace it for free or you paid again because I have the same issue now
What have you done? Have you removed your titanium implants?
There is a strong link between titanium dental implants (allergy or metal toxicity) and autoimmune/neuroendocrine disease start. Metal toxins are closely associated with itching or urticaria.
There are so many high-ranking academic articles on this topic (please search "Allergic contact dermatitis caused by titanium screws and dental implants"; "Metal allergy patient treated by titanium implant denture: A case report with at least 4-year follow-up".
I have plate implant on femur fracture, it has been reactind by bringing out continues liquid, please any drugs to make the body adjust to the implant, I am really tired of it, please help.
No there isn't, except doing chelation and it's very dangerous
First, get tested. If you are indeed allergic, the only way to get relief is to have the plate removed and replaced. I had a total knee replaced. My weeping allergy disappeared!
If allergic to nickel, is it safe to use titanium implant material? I need a hip replacement and most the stems are titanium, I heard their can be trace amounts possibly? What can you do or use?
See an allergist...you may need a metal series. Mine showed an allergy to nickel, titanium, & manganese.
This is a killer there is literally a documentary on how he isn’t allowed to the us because of his surgery’s years ago
