- Lençóis Maranhenses Part II. Today we are in the Lençóis Maranhenses desert with endless sand dunes all around us and hundreds of thousands of lagoons strewn across this desert landscape. It is hard to believe that this is Brazil. Lençóis Maranhenses National Park is a park in Maranhão state in northeast Brazil, east of the Baía de São José. We spend our day here in a Brazilian paradise. We have traveled all over Brazil and we have seen nothing even close to something like this. This has to be one of the most interesting places in the world. Lençóis Maranhenses looks unreal. It is hard to believe what you are seeing with your own eyes. Awesome. Head south to Carolina ( still in Maranhão) to know Chapada das Mesas. Besides its beautiful cristal lakes there is a Watterfall called Santuário (inside a cave) that is the proof that God existis. May second top destination in Brazil, after Lençois. It worth it, I PROMISE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eu sou carioca e digo uma coisa, Lençois Maranhenses é o lugar mais lindo do mundo.
I had the pleasure of travelling to Maranhao in 2015, trully a magical place. Didn't expected to see this kind of desert there and these type of lagoons are so beautiful! Definitely a place to visit again, still on my bucket list.

Must be one of the most beautiful natural places in the world surely! Unreal!!!! :D A bit of help with the gopro in windy conditions (think that's what you have been using in these videos?) buy a wind slayer cover for it if you can, its like a sponge... they have them on amazon. We got some and its actually crazy how good it is in the wind, even in hardcore wind it allows our voices to be heard clearly.
I saw the 3 cenotes vid that looked so cool.
I follow more than 100 travellers around the world and I can definitely say that this is most underrated channel ever. The places you have shown are splendid and the details are amazing.
I recall seeing this place in a Brazilian film many years ago. It was isolated and mysterious. I was amazed and always wanted to go there. You guys are really fortunate to have been able to carve out a life like this.
I guess the movie was "The House of Sand" (2005). A great one!

Brazil is very diversified. You have not seen it all. You go to the south you may think you’re in Switzerland. All that is needed for Brazil to do ,is to get rid of the corrupted politics. Luckily we have Bolsonaro now. He’s doing a fantastic job.

for those who think that brazil is just jungle, there is a very diverse country.
Very diverse in nature and culture, but unfortunately they couldn't see normal brazilian life because of covid. And they spent almost the whole trip in the same region. The Northeast isn't only about sand and water and exotic fruits, it's about history (it's the birthplace of our country), but most of us can't appreciate it and show it to the visitors.

Lençóis Maranhenses, eu já fiz um trekking de 3 dias atravessando os Lençóis, foi um experiência única. Eu fui no melhor período do ano com centenas de lagoas cheias de água.
Eu tb fiz. O meu foi de 4 dias com um nativo que mora no parque. Cansativo pq começavamos às 4 da manã , nos hospedamos nas casas simples destas pessoas, dormindo em redes e tomando banho no rio. Experiencia diferente de todas as outras. O parque é lindo demais.

@@IGOR.......... por segurança eu acredito q sim, área q cobre os Lençóis é gigantesca. Os nativos q sabem como chegar em cada vila pra pernoitar. Os preços qdo fui pra um grupo 5 deu R$ 150,00 pra cada participante. Um guia por 3 dias pagando esse valor achei barato. O nome do guia é Maciel, não tenho o contato dele aqui....acredito q seja fácil encontrá-lo pela internet.

I started following you guys since the first video, mainly because you had a pretty narrow notion about Brasil. I knew for a fact that you were going to change, and here we are! thats the beauty of traveling. and hey, you didn’t traveled all over Brasil(yet!).
greetings from Brazil. The Lençóis Maranhenses is certainly one of the most breathtaking landscapes on the planet! I live in the region of the sheets and with each visit I discover new ways to explore this wonder of nature.
That ecosystem of sand dunes and lagoons stretches for about 70 miles long. Although it runs alongside the ocean, all lagoons are made of pure fresh water from rain. There's a tiny little frog which is endemic of this ecosystem.
I'm brazilian and I have never been to almost none of these places. I hope some day I can have this amazing experience! Let's work hard and follow our dreams guys. Life is good, god is fair

It's been a very long journey, you guys visited a lot of places even locals have never been to. Nevertheless, there are still so many unique places for you to visit in Brazil (Amazon Rainforest, Brasilia, Pantanal, Foz do Iguaçu, etc.).
And the south. Gramado. Canyons de Aparados da Serra.

Before amazon rainforest go to Carolina to visit Chapada das mesas and Jalapão....and Amazônia go to Bonito in Mato Grosso do Sul state.

Estive lá recentemente (vide minha foto do perfil), é um local que todos os brasileiros deviam conhecer, é simplesmente incrível! Pra se ter ideia, O Parque Nacional dos Lençois Maranhenses é quase do tamanho da região metropolitana de São Paulo. Aconselho a montar base na cidade de Barreirinhas, uma cidade muito agradável, com uma boa estrutura e ótimos preços. Outro lugar que vale muito a pena é Caburé.
