Glad you got it repaired.
I still had thr issue with air getting into the Blackjack no matter where I had the vent at.
sup moe! good to see you bro. congrats on the 1k subs!!
Thank you! It's been a fun uploading to UA-cam.
Yeah I still see daylight. I like the design but if they can’t consistently control the quality of manufacture then airflow control will not be good. I mean, you can’t even shut it down to save your coals after the cook? I had the same problem with my Weber kettle when the ash cleanout blades started warping but I bought a replacement kit and that fixed the problem. Dude, I appreciate your in depth explanation of this.
It's been a struggle to get it below 250. I the damper over again and it's design it's flawed like the damper that came with the kettle. You're right, daylight is visible. I really love the overall design of the Blackjack, but it's been disappointing so far. Grilling is not an issue with this kettle. I hope to see a Blackjack Kettle display at the box store so I can see how the damper looks on it. I'm gonna continue on. Next I'm going to do the snake method and another video use charcoal baskets.
@@MoesBlackGoldBBQ you can get a welder to fix for you. Would be super easy and cheap probably.
Good info! Congratulations on getting over 1k subs 👍🏻
Thank you! Its been a fun 2 years getting to this point.
@@MoesBlackGoldBBQ love your content Brother 👍🏻
Thank you for the support brother! Its already bbq community on UA-cam.
Crazy I had the opposite issue the ash was filling up in the vents so I actually cut the vents wider to get more air flow going thru 😅
Ash builds up around my vent, but due to gaps of the vent air gets in no matter what lol.
@@MoesBlackGoldBBQ haha yea I mean I wanted more heat coming in and by widening the air holes it does blow a bit of the ash buildup into the bottom rather than blocking the vents
I think I’d just go with a more reputable kettle.
A Weber.
@@MoesBlackGoldBBQ I still love my OKJ Bronco though. 😉
The Bronco is a beast. Its my go to pit. Then it's my Weber.
Seems to be a flawed design…?
A very flawed design
