I think it is easier to learn to like something at 4 , than it is at 54 (Sorry Mike, if I am off on your age. It just pairs up well, 4-54, no offense intended). Dave said he is 37 (although I thought he was much younger, 27-30), and Mike worked with Dave's mother, so I would assume you have to be about 20+ years older for that math to work out (but I really can't tell).

Sushi caviar = Tobiko (red-orange in color, from flying fish), Masago (which is what it looks like y'all have, from capelin/smelt), or Ikura (the bigger ones from Salmon).

I’m very surprised that in a country that prides itself on fish (cod) and chips and has tons of fishermen bringing in other fresh seafood daily (it is a large island after all), someone dosnt like fish. I have to say that 99% of someone “not liking” sushi is an odd mental thing that’s predicated on assuming “it’s all just raw fish” when most non sashimi style sushi is cooked, cured, pickled, or whatever.
You could see it when he spat out the salmon immediately as if it shocked him or had sharp spikes. Completely mentally blocked the possibility of ever enjoying sushi.
I was introduced to sushi when I was a kid and now it's one of my favorite foods, especially eel. My sister was allergic to shellfish so she didn't have sushi until she was an adult and she can't stand it
